So I recently received this card for Christmas since my old 9800 gt died.
Now, I have no problems with the grapics, those are fine. But what I am having problems with is when I installed this card it also changed my audio card settings, since apparently It's also a audio card aswell. It uses HDMI Audio, but I'm using a monitor that doesn't have a hdmi audio port. It seemed to erase the data of my old driver ( Realtek High Definition audio ) And installed this one which I can't use.
Is there a way to switch back to my Realtek audio instead of this HDMI audio?
If you have Windows Vista/7, go into the sound properties and change the default audio device back to the Realtek and disable the HDMI from the card.
And it may have been good will in part of who bought you the replacement card, but the GT210 is actually much slower (probably 45-50% slower) than the 9800GT it's replacing. If you care about performance, you might want to return it for a slightly better card (The GTS250 is a 9800GTX, GT240 is similar to a 9600GT.)
It isn't thats the thing, it won't appear at all and it's saying that no audio device is installed ( Realtek )
Try reinstalling the realtek drivers for shits and giggles and see if it fixes the problem. Here's the latest drivers:
