Blizzard does note that a "pretty significant number of people" have ventured into Inferno severely undergeared, so if you're struggling too much, head back to Hell and gear up
Except nothing drops from Hell or Inferno Act 1 worth a damn for Inferno?

I played quite a bit of Inferno in high end Hell gear, yet everything that drops is trash.
except they do?
No, they don't
every drop you get isn't going to be a perfectly itemized top tier item
and combining gems will only take two gems, rather than three--because, again, it's cheaper to buy gems on the AH.
Won't that just force the price of AH gems down even more?
Won't that just force the price of AH gems down even more?
No. People are too greedy for gold to adjust the AH prices. The reason for buying off AH will still be convenience though.
I'm on nightmare right now which is fairly easy and normal was a complete load of shit. How hard is inferno and hell? I'm worried about the difficulty being too easy
No. People are too greedy for gold to adjust the AH prices. The reason for buying off AH will still be convenience though.
I don't think you quite understand how economics works Lowering price can increase your profit
I don't think you quite understand how economics works Lowering price can increase your profit
Which is why wholesalers like Costco still exist. I haven't sold anything for more than 5,000 gold on the AH. It's usually about 45/4800 more gold than what I'd get from selling to a merchant, which is a pretty good return IMO.
every drop you get isn't going to be a perfectly itemized top tier item
Except the last item I got that I could actually replace my gear with as an upgrade was in Nightmare. Everything else was bought off the AH because I just wasn't finding anything, and it's still the case. The best item I ever got was an axe with +300 Str and about 150 Vit, and even that was nearly HALF the DPS of a good axe
I don't think you quite understand how economics works Lowering price can increase your profit
My economics may be a bit rusty but, Lowering price increases consumer demand but lowers profit per unit sold Increasing price decreases consumer demand but increases profit per unit sold You can sell a lot for cheap and make a profit or you can sell a little for a lot and still make a profit. It works both ways, though there is always an equilibrium point between the two.
Won't that just force the price of AH gems down even more?
Hey, nothing wrong with cheap stuff becoming even cheaper.
sounds like shit luck and a hint of exxageration
Zero exageration [editline]29th May 2012[/editline]
are you telling me that the game is bad because every drop isn't an upgrade. ok
Where, ANYWHERE, have I said Diablo is bad? I pointed out that heading back to Hell to gear up is BULLSHIT as I have NEVER got anything to gear up with, not one fucking thing. Now if I was a Demon Hunter I'd be fucking set for life, but I'm not. I'm pretty sure even Blizzard said drops are messed up
Hey, nothing wrong with cheap stuff becoming even cheaper.
I certainly don't mind it but it seems like they're trying to change that. Poorly.

By time this stuff gets patched in I don't think i'll have much interest left in the game. [editline]29th May 2012[/editline]
the only reason wizards, wds and dhs can kill things is because they can kite, even if they're undergeared
And then you get the elites that teleport you, freeze you, and just bullshit you in every way :v:
