Title basically says it, it just returns an error and says that it isn't compatible. I looked online to no avail, please help me relive my childhood.
Tried running in compatibility mode?
Duel boot it with windows XP or 98.
I don't want to dual boot, I have a small enough hard drive as it is, and I can't even access the drive to run the setup in compatability mode. I think this disc was made before 64 bit existed.
If the game is 16-bit you cant run it in a 64-bit OS.

Are you talking about SonicCD by any chance? [editline]08:43PM[/editline] Because I know how to get it working on Windows 7 64-bit.
Download the Sega Genesis Emulator of your choice, and run it. Google your favorite Sonic Roms, and download the one(s) you wish to play. Usually you can open the rom file from File > Open... and choose the Sonic Rom of your choice. Setup your keyboard keys or gamepad to your liking. Enjoy Sonic.
-SNIP- I forgot that Home Premium dont have XP mode.
Drop like 30 bucks on a windows 98 machine.
Find a 98 CDROM and download windows vm and install it on there.
Exactly what Ben just said, with links / details: 1) Grab Windows Virtual PC 2007 from HERE 2) Find a Windows 98 Install disk (ebay, craigslist, old computer in the back of the closet, etc.) 3) Fire up Virtual PC 2007 and create a new virtual machine, go ahead and choose Windows 98 for the settings, you could probably get away with 1-1.5GB of hard drive space on your virtual HDD. 4) Pop the disk in, make sure VPC finds and can link with your CD drive 5) Install Windows 98 as though it were 1998. 6) ??? 7) Profit!

Hell, I can even play some less advanced 3d games at medium graphics on 1920x1080.
