Looking for a 700 or 600 series NVIDIA GTX? Budget $200

What's my best bet for a great GPU at a decent price? I'm eyeing a few but I just don't feel like I could make a decision. Budget is $200 plus S+H so maybe more like a budget of $180-190.
Ideal is the 760 but it pushes my budget.
If you're looking for a (700) GTX series specifically, I'd recommend the 750 Ti 2gb, as it's just under the 760 and still great for price/performance.
EVGA's is a solid buy as it's really reliable and actually one of the highest clock speeds for the 750 Ti.
However, if you don't mind AMD I'd still say the R9 270x is a great buy. I personally would go with HIS for the sub $200 price.

If he is going to go AMD I would recommend ASUS, gigabyte or Sapphire, HIS is a lower end manufacture of AMD cards.
HIS is most definitely not a lower end manufacturer. They make great quality cards with great coolers.
You can get a sapphire radeon 7970, which is a 280x for 150 bucks on ebay

Real 280x
visontek, not bad, not great $160

Gigabyte, supposedly better $180

This card will run pretty much every game at high settings. With A 7970 and a 280x in crossfire (yes theyre that similar) i can run battlefield 4 maxed out at 150% resolution from 1920x1080 and keep the fps above 100 (normally runs at 140-150)

Oh, man, thanks. This looks great!
I would suggest this one over the one catscratch posted. The 6-pin power input can really make a difference on the 750ti.

If youre going to pay 150 bucks for the 750ti, go for the 7970 and get more bang (considerably more) for the same price.
Looked it up, the benchmarks show that the 7970 is almost twice as fast of a card for the same exact price.
Maybe he doesn't want to buy a used card? I got mine off ebay, have had zero problems with it. But perhaps he isn't comfortable with it.

I'm just paranoid myself, that's why I only use Newegg/Amazon and I only buy new if I can.
I'm trying to work up the courage to buy a Refurb though. For anything. I've never had a not-New anything.
Thats a poor ass economic decision. The user has 1600 sales with one hundred percent positive reviews. Besides, you should at least CONSIDER all options if youre on a "tight" budget.
You shouldn't buy used AMD cards that don't have lifetime warranties, since there's no guarantee they haven't been running at full load to bitcoin mine for long periods of time
If the manufacturer has a lifetime warranty, it's not a bigger issue than being without a card for a while if it breaks

I dont fully disagree with you, but i still disagree with you. My 7970 was used for gaming. My 280x was used for litecoin mining. If it works when you get it, its probably fine.
That should apply to both brands anyways, not just amd.
Anyways you can also base that off of the sellers rating. If they have a hundred percent and 1600 sales, i think its fair to assume that whatever you buy isnt going to break the next day.
You also gotta keep in mind that bitcoin miners dont want their cards dieing, so they were most likely taken care of to some extent.
Intelligent miners under volt their cards and keep them cool. Not all miners are intelligent ones.

like the ones who have x1 pcie cables going to all their cards? :v:

If you mean the x1 risers, that's the only way you can fit 7 R9 270's on a single board. Ya know, the necessary things in life.
