What would I need to upgrade to run a gt 240? I really need to upgrade and money is kind of a issue. Here are my specs, any advice would be appreciated.
Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD Athlon II X2 245 53 °C
Regor 45nm Technology
RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz (6-6-6-18)
Motherboard
ASRock K10N78 (CPUSocket) 62 °C
Graphics
Generic Non-PnP Monitor (1024x768@60Hz)
17'' LCD (1152x864@75Hz)
1024MB GeForce 9500 GT (Undefined) 73 °C
Hard Drives
244GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAKS-00F0A0 ATA Device (SATA) 42 °C
Optical Drives
Optiarc DVD RW AD-5260S ATA Device
Audio
High Definition Audio Device
Nothing from what I can see a GT240 should work fine.
What about a nvidia 470gt?
What the hell is a 470GT?? There is a GTX 470, but you need a new PSU and your CPU will start bottlenecking.
Power supply might need to be looked at for that, you would really be better off upgrading to a AMD quad core and 6670 if you can spend ~150
Ah k thanks John
I'd update your BIOS, get a 955BE or something and get some GPU, but idk.

I've got the 975BE, it overclocks to 4.3Ghz. Its a bit of a monster for an AMD chip.
