• Horrendous performance in ARMA 2

All drivers are up to date, everything is latest. All OS updates etc. Yet, for some stupid reason I get 10-20 FPS in Arma 2, REGARDLESS OF SETTINGS. What the hell is wrong with this bloody game? Any ideas? I've tried every setting tweak under the sun, the game just runs like refried baby shit and is really getting on my nerves. Speccy for specs
The game is just horribly optimized. Here's some things to do: -Turn off or lower mouse smoothing -Disable hyper-threading -Turn off or lower mouse dead zone -Turn off Vsync -In your arma 2 config files set Atoc=7 to Atoc=0 -Disable post processing -Use very high shadows (it switches what renders the shadows from the CPU to the GPU) -Set maximum pre-rendered frames to 4 (may help, not sure) -Get an Arma 2 launcher and use the high memory usage setting

Here's some things to do: -Turn off or lower mouse smoothing -Tried that -Disable hyper-threading -LOL AMD -Turn off or lower mouse dead zone -Where? -Turn off Vsync -No dice -In your arma 2 config files set Atoc=7 to Atoc=0 -No dice -Disable post processing - No dice -Use very high shadows (it switches what renders the shadows from the CPU to the GPU) -No dice -Set maximum pre-rendered frames to 4 (may help, not sure) - No dice -Get an Arma 2 launcher and use the high memory usage setting
It's not a general performance issue where I can't handle certain parts of the game, I get the same framerate regardless of settings so something else is messing with the game.

Hold on... The deadzone thing is more of a personal preference, it's in the general game options or whatever. It so you don't have to move your mouse so much to turn your screen. In your .arma2profile change "mouseSmoothing=30" to "mouseSmoothing=1" Put video memory to default. Disable ATi HDMI sound devices in device manager Defrag? Change GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; to GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=; in your .cfg Set -cpuCount=X in launch options (next to target line) Set -world=empty in launch options Or use http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241 to easily set those last two options.
Tried all that, still refried dogshit. :(
