• Getting a new CPU.

Hello, I am going to buy a new CPU, yet i'm not sure what's the best Phenom II out there, I have an AM3 Socket. Are the Phenom II 6 Cores are really worth it ? Or should I just stick with a Phenom II Quad Core ? Is the x4 965 better than the 1045T ? I don't know... Edit : I want to play games like Battlefield 3, I sometimes render stuff (Videos, Cinema 4D), I recently bought a Graphics Card, so games aren't much of a problem, yet I have a feeling that my current CPU is bottlenecking it (I have an AMD Athlon II x3 440 @ 3 GHz), I also notice that my PC is somewhat slow sometimes with that CPU.
If I were you I'd just replace the motherboard and processor with something newer. I know that sounds unreasonable though, not everyone's made of money.
If you can buy a new motherboard and CPU, if not just buy a phenom x4 2 955 and call it a day.
I'm not thinking about changing motherboard, AM3 Socket is fine, i was just wondering if the 6 cores Phenoms II was worth it.
Eh not really if its just time to time rendering.
