• Strange Sound Issue

When I first started playing Terraria and noticed that I got no sound from the game, I assumed it was a really bad bug. However, i'm beginning to think it's a technical issue, because while the game is running, my Volume Mixer has Terraria listed and the green bar shows it as playing sound normally. However, there is no sound coming through my headphones. At the same time, Itunes and everything else i've tried plays perfectly fine through the same headphones. Anyone know what could be up?
Outputting to the wrong device check the settings in Terraria I haven't played it so I dunno what's available but you usually can set the output device in the game. If you can't you can go to the windows sound devices and set the level of the device that it's outputting to to an audible level.
The only setting available for sound is volume, which is at max. The volume for the program is set at max, as well. It should be audible, judging by the size of the sound bar, which is perfectly audible at much smaller levels in other programs, etc.
Small update. Upon configuring my speakers (aka headphones since speakers are broken) i've found out that no matter what setting (stereo/quadrophonic/5.1 surround/7.1 surround), my headphones only play sounds that are played from the rear two speakers (and the center right speaker on 7.1 surround, oddly), and nothing from the front speakers, which i'm guessing is the only source from Terraria. When my speakers are set on stereo, with only two front speakers, I stop getting any sound at all. How can I get my headphones to play everything from every speaker? Are the headphones just not working? [editline]19th May 2011[/editline] Nevermind, problem solved. Close thread.
