I've got a dell dimension l933r desktop running freshly installed windows 98se (for dev purposes), and I can't get a single creative labs sound driver to work in windows. Went to device manager, and tried several of the options in the driver list under creative manufacturer; didn't work. I also spent 2 hours googling for a driver, nothing too. But the thing that stumps me is that I formatted a floppy with dell's sound blaster diagnostics program. I booted off the floppy, and the sound worked fine on the diagnostics program, but won't work in regular windows. It's only giving error 10 in device manager. What could I ever do to get this stubborn thing working?
You're gonna have fun finding a driver for Windows 98, if you've not got an original driver cd I don't think you'll have much luck
