Help? My Steam is refusing to boot. I have tried: * Ending process but it takes too long to update * Restarting twice My computer is acting like those restarts never happened and gave me the same error.
Do you have your steam set to start up with your computer?
No.
Go to your steam directory, delete the clientregistry.blob file and try starting steam again. if that fails delete everything in the directory except for "Steamapps" and "steam.exe" then open the steam.exe.
