Nothing's final yet, of course, but given Apple's lame fight with Palm over iTunes compatibility, are hackintosh netbooks next in the firing line? The current recommendation is to stick with 10.6.1 if you're running Snow Leopard, or 10.5.8 if your Hackintosh has Leopard. You could also try upgrading to 10.6.2 using an older or modified kernel. If this is a conscious strike by Apple, it's likely the Hackintosh community will find a work around, but it's definitely something to watch before your next update.
Hackintoshes are computers that are windows computers but somehow are Mac-os computers now

Macs can dual boot to Windows as well.
That sucks. NVidya did the same thing.
So what, eventually all code is broken. Sure it might take longer, but with a community as strong as the Hackintosh one, I have no doubt that there will be a workaround. Not that I really care though, Windows 7 serves all my needs perfectly.
Apple's dumb moves seem to be on the spotlight all the time nowadays, huh?
Since 99% of hackintoshes use pirated copies of osx it makes sense for them to do it. I don't think it will be too long before someone figures a way to get around it though, someone always does.
It usually takes under a day for something to be cracked.
Since 99% of hackintoshes
Random statistic, whether it is true or not
Random statistic, whether it is true or not
Yeah but 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
Yeah but 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
no probably 40%
Yeah but 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

no probably 40%
I thought the statistic on that was 87%. :v:
I thought the statistic on that was 87%. :v:
87.2% To be correct.
It's actually 89.9%
87.2% To be correct.

It's actually 89.9%
This is quite a conundrum indeed. We need to investigate further.
Apple's dumb moves seem to be on the spotlight all the time nowadays, huh?
Because Apple's smug "were better then you dumb boring pc poeple" attitude has set them high above on a pedestal with neon signs pointing down on them also highlights their mistakes.
Apple's dumb moves seem to be on the spotlight all the time nowadays, huh?
No, Microsoft just hasn't made any.
;18154954']No, Microsoft just hasn't made any.
They actually learned something from Vista.
;18154954']No, Microsoft just hasn't made any.
Well they made that ad with the schoolkids singing the bing song, but that was more funny than anything.
Good.
Snow leopard is absolute shite to install on a hackintosh right now anyways
Someone needs to get to the core of this apple issue.
Another update, god why they can just leave us alone. I don't have a Hacknitosh, but why they care so much about that? Oh... green paper.
They actually learned something from Vista.
Vista was fine.
That sucks. NVidya did the same thing.
Surely you mean NVideo?
60 percentage of the time it works, every time.
Can't we all just agree that Apple sucks and should fall off the earth when it comes to Computers?
