I recently bought a Westinghouse 24" 1080p 60hz LED HDTV over the holidays to mainly play my ps3. After loading up BF3 I was very disappointed with the picture quality. It looks very pixelated and ugly, along with mw3 which looks blurry. Granted this is not the most expensive hdtv out their but its to the point where my seven year old non hdtv looks better. Iv messed with the sharpness but it really didn't improve anything. I apologize if this seems a bit uneducated but Im desperate to correct this problem.
Have you made sure the ps3 is actually displaying in 1080p
Almost every console game only supports 720P. The PS3's menu is the only thing that's displayed in 1080P.

This is also true for the text in the actual game, its just the game play which is giving me the problem. Im sure I am running it at 1080p as well, but even mw3 that actually does support 1080p looks blurry to an extent.
Battlefield and CoD don't run in HD resolution for consoles, sorry to say. It could just naturally look like that. (They reduced the definition to 701p, if I remember correctly :v:)
Regardless if the game is 1080p or not it shouldn't be this blurry. Are there any setting regarding the actual ps3 that would make a sharper image.
Have a play around with the video/display settings on the ps3, there's quite a few of them
Iv really tried everything involving the setting, I suppose its the t.v. Could anyone recommend a good hdtv for gaming?
Are you using HDMI?
If the text isn't blurry that's just how the game is rendering. [editline]7th January 2012[/editline] the PS3 is around 5 years old, it's not surprising really/
Yea I using a HDMI cable and I tried another just to make sure it wasnt bad. Would it being 60hz instead of 120htz be the problem?
