Well it is time I got a new computer, my current Pentium 4 is total junk when it comes to most new games.
I'm on a fairly tight budget of up to £400 so I'm trying to get the best I can for my money.
I've already decided to reuse my current hard drive and GPU since they are fairly new and in good condition, which will save some cash for the more important stuff.
So far I've come up with this parts list, what do you think?
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition - £149
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro v2 - £16.32
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H, AMD 880G £68
CiT 4672, Black, micro-ATX Mini Tower Case with 450W PSU - £30
4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600) - £97
Total = £361
and the parts I'm reusing are

nVidia GeForce 9600GT
Seagate 160GB 7200RPM
Monitor, keyboard, etc

Is scan.co.uk a good place to buy from ?
I'm from the US so this may not be entirely accurate, but the 955 is just as good, and cheaper so get that. Also I've heard that scan is good... but again I'm in the U.S. so I have no experience with that. Also do not get a shitty Case/PSU combo, it will only end in tears. Your PSU will blow and take your PC with it. So save up and get a better PSU from Enermax/Corsair/Antec or another more reputable brand.
^ this
gpu, hdd, psu will bottleneck everything
Oh yeah, that GPU will seriously bottleneck your PC, don't know about HDD
160gb is too small, you need at least 230gb, so you should get another 80gb or so hdd

Yeah but hes on a limited budget so it will hold him over until he can afford a 5770 or something else worth buying.
Well I took your advice and made some changes:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BlackEdition, Sok AM3, 3.2GHz £132
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro v2 - £16.32
Asus M4A87TD/USB3, AMD 870, S AM3, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2000(OC), SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX £88
Xclio NightHawk Extreme, Mid Tower Case, Black, 10 Front Bays, 18cm Side Fan £41
BP500U - GB - 500W Antec Basiq Power PSU, 80mm Quiet Fan, Dual 12V, ATX12V V2.01 £43
4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600) - £96

Total: £417
And yeah 160GB is not that good, but I have 500GB of external storage so it will do for now.

Don't get the Basiq. Get the Earthwatts or the NEO.
Get This PSU, its more expensive but its ridiculously reliable.
