And that puts this game on its deathbed already.
feeble-minded developers...
"$14.99/€12.99/£8.99 per month" strikes me as very expensive for one game that doesn't even look that good in my opinion. I can't see any one game being worth a monthly subscription - especially at that price.
"You don't need to worry about how much you're going to pay, we'll take your money for you!"
it's much better than a game which is balanced around purchasable items
You people will complain just about anything. If it's FTP with microtransactions, you will whine that the game will end up being Pay to win. A monthly fee and you say it's too expensive. You know what is expensive. Making the game work online. That's the reason for it's pricing. Still, it is still cheaper than WOW subscription

Monthly Subscriptions are going the way of the dinosaur simply because people don't want to pay for them. I'd pretty much have to be the next best thing since sliced bread to succeed in the long run.
but they wouldn't be pointless cosmetics, they'd be powerful weapons
have you played an F2P game in the past 2 years
Isn't the game already $60?
but they wouldn't be pointless cosmetics, they'd be powerful weapons
Says who?
Goddammit. Two decent looking MMOs in one week that I can't be excited for anymore. I have nothing against people who prefer a subscription model, but it just doesn't work for me. Never has, never will. Hey, at least I can look forward to playing them next year when they go F2P.

Too bad the MMO will be shit reguardless of what payment option they use. It's so bad Todd Howard said it's not tied to the series at all.
