Researchers in Germany have found that people who frequently use first-person singular words like "I," "me," and "myself," are more likely to be depressed and have more interpersonal problems than people who often say "we" and "us."
http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-05/people-who-often-say-me-myself-and-i-are-more-depressed
So Golem was actually a happy guy?
i have no idea which one i use the most, to be honest, never thought of it
Makes sense I guess, since people using I instead of we about a group effort are the kind of people who are more focused with making sure others know that it was them personally who deserved credit, and therefore also more obsessed with the approval of others. [editline]5th May 2013[/editline]
i have no idea which one i use the most, to be honest, never thought of it
I can honestly say I use we more often, but that is because in my studies, writing we on a report sounds more professional imo.
I mean I, myself, can't see why this would be the case. I have no reason for me to use first-person words that often. Myself, I mean, I'm pretty depressed but I don't use these words very much. No reason for me to. Myself, I'd just ignore this.
I think this is a dumb study, I can say anything that involves a singular word by myself. I don't see what's the point how I can be depressed by saying I... Oh.

Me too.
The solution to depression is to have the human race become a hivemind collective.

I think it would make more sense if depressed people ended up feeling alone, then ended up using the first person instead of words that would imply that they're in a group.
I over use "I" all the time. Sometimes I delete entire posts because each sentence would start with "I."
We don't agree with this article's statement. We think that word usage is more reflective of what is on our minds rather than whether or not we are depressed.
I always say I and have to correct myself and say we.
The Rock must be one of the happiest people alive then.

Everything is my own fault? :(
Kings and Queens refer to themselves in plural because they speak for the nation. At least that how it was in the middle ages.
