Well, time to back up Tumblr. Yahoo has a great history of destroying these kinds of sites.
I wonder if they'll crack down on the porn.

Of course not, Tumblr is much worse.

Also according to The Wall Street Journal:
Yahoo Inc.'s board has approved a deal to acquire blogging startup Tumblr, people familiar with the matter said Sunday.
Yahoo has agreed to pay $1.1 billion in cash for the company, one of the people said. Tumblr would continue to operate largely as an independent business, the people said.
Tumblr needs a huge investor in order to continue to exist, and Yahoo is going to take a largely hands-off approach. It's virtually a win-win, especially since the current Tumblr staff has a huge issue with developing proper support tools for the website (i.e. no multiple tag search, poor block/ignore features, no built-in tag blocking, issues with image embedding, etc. )

They're not cracking down on Porn bloggers. Flickr is managed by Yahoo! and there are porn groups on there.
As Reimu said earlier, they will still be largely independent, but will be owned by Yahoo! so literally nothing will be changing aside from maybe a trademark here or there

I know, I'm just pointing out it'd be the stupidest thing for yahoo to do if they shut down all of the porn.

You do realize that there has been some huuuge shakeups in the last year or so for Yahoo?
I think after all that they are a totally capable company to handle Tumblr. Obviously not the case before though.
Garry should have bought Tumblr instead.
That's a pretty expensive database of gifs they just bought

They are still one of the most visited websites in the world. Also, apparently yahoo mail is still super popular in asia.
