Something like this has been long overdue
haven't heard about luka magnotta in a while
Something like this has been long overdue
Did you read the article? They arrested the website owner, even though the contents of bestgore are pretty messed up, I don't think arresting the people behind it is right.
Wow that's ungrateful, without that host the murder case wouldn't have gone international and that psycho would've been on the loose.
charged with corrupting morals
WOW, that exists?! :v: I've seen some seriously fucked up shit on the internet that might fall under this catagory.
WOW, that exists?! :v: I've seen some seriously fucked up shit on the internet that might fall under this catagory.

163. (1) Every one commits an offense who (a) makes, prints, publishes, distributes, circulates, or has in his possession for the purpose of publication, distribution or circulation any obscene written matter, picture, model, phonograph record or other thing whatever; or...
Everybody has probably broken this law by now, the way its been used is actually quite disturbing.
Why is this getting winners? I understand punishing him in some way, maybe a fine or something, but imprisonment for uploading a video to the internet? That is ridiculous.
Information will find a way. Imagine how different the story would have been if the site was their only way of charging Magnotta.
WOW, that exists?! :v: I've seen some seriously fucked up shit on the internet that might fall under this catagory.
Yeah, all of 4Chan
Good. I hope the site gets shut down.
"Corrupting morals"? What the fuck?
making this illegal for corrupting morals is bad, but there definitely is a reason behind this same reason child porn distribution is looked down on, the fact that they are distributing gore videos like this pushes the various rings that create the content in the first place, harming even more people [editline]18th July 2013[/editline]
Why is this getting winners?
Good. I hope the site gets shut down.
Why? No one forces you to visit.
Did you read the article? For you guys that think that someone shouldn't get arrested over them uploading a video to the internet, would you think the same if they uploaded a video of a child being raped? What should be their punishment instead?, or do you think that since they weren't the person/people that did the action they should get none?

By contrast, most gore videos are of people who are already dead. The dead can't exactly be victims of shame/hate/whatever the hell else results from that kind of thing.
as good as the arrest might be I hate the fact he was extradited for it it shouldn't be a thing
Those kids in child porn videos continue to be victimized as long as the videos are out there (or they die).
Those kids in child porn videos continue to be victimized as long as the videos are out there (or they die). Why do people like gore, it just seems somewhat odd to be watching it.
Why do people like gore, it just seems somewhat odd to be watching it.
Curiosity.
I fucking despise gore. You live a safe life, and there are people that sees this in real life and has to deal with this shit and think it's horrible meanwhile people are looking at murders, mutilations and execution with curiosity. You're watching a person die.
WOW, that exists?! :v: I've seen some seriously fucked up shit on the internet that might fall under this catagory.
Half of facepunch is illegal.

I can't believe the posts that are arguing that uploading this is alright, and he shouldn't be arrested just for 'uploading a video'. It's not just the video is it? It's the sort of content being put into the public domain repeatedly.
Sometimes my curiosity reaches such a high level that I watch this shit but I can fight against it and force myself not to go on that website... I saw some gruesome shit there and I regret it but at the same time curiosity always comes back when a friend or someone else opens that website. Same for liveleak gore, I watch it all but I wish I don't. I can't understand it. It's stupid that this guy got arrested, he meant no harm to anyone. [editline]19th July 2013[/editline] It's called uncensored internet.
I know people want no restrictions and everything, and I do too to a point. But wiping out all of this content makes everything a nicer place doesn't it? There is a period before it's online that's the bit that really gets e. Somebody filmed this stuff. And as for the naive comment about him not causing harm to anyone, tell that to the deceased in the images. Voyeurism at its worst, and about as disrespectful to the dead as you can get.
The dead can't exactly be victims of shame/hate/whatever the hell else results from that kind of thing.
How do you think the family of the victim feels? Knowing people are watching the murder of their child on the internet for entertainment.
Everybody has probably broken this law by now, the way its been used is actually quite disturbing.

obscene written matter, picture, model, phonograph record or other thing whatever
They really got lazy when finishing this line huh
