I am not sure if this is the right place to ask (fast threads might be more applicable), but I am looking for an easy to use terrain designer that can either allow me to place buildings or export it into a format that I can use other software to put buildings in. It has to be able to run off a USB Stick. If anyone cares I have to make an island shaped like a peanut with villages and shit. Right now I am trying to use minecraft and bryce but if there was a simpler way, like the simcity map editor (raise and lower land, etc). Maybe sim city societies because it is like a building plopping simulator.
What is the terrain for? Simply looking at, or actually using in a game or whatever?

I am a making a steampunk game with my friend, its a game for facepunch.
This is made by me but already deleted it does not fit the concept, Don't worry about the shadows.
But again, its not hard.
And it fits on a USB!
The problem with UDK is that this must run on a shitty school PC with a e8400 and some intel 4500 GPU. I do not think that unreal engine will run on that.
Not sure if it's what you want but you can try this: http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=8
