Not really sure if this is the right place to have this, so if it is wrong please redirect me, or if possible, could a mod move this to it's rightful place? Thank you in advance. So after thinking alot what can make my computer better, I noticed that I should stop looking at Ghz'es and Mhz'es and GB's as much as I do. (Different parts) First I thought my RAM was good. (3GB) But it is actually quite bad, from what I have heard (266Mhz) Same thing with my processor. The Ghz is quite good (3 Ghz), but it's a single cored Intel Pentium D. Coming with a motherboard, that I have no idea about it's specs. My PSU is on 400W at it's top. I'm going to replace all these parts first, then I will proceed on graphics card and other things. (Might need to buy RAM, Processor and motherboard in one piece) The reason of me buying everything in separate parts (They come on different dates) would be that I can't afford any other solution. I live in Sweden, and I need to know wich PSU to get first. If there is any more information you need just let me know. Thank you in advance. Specs [massive and mostly unnecessary spec list]
so basicly you have Pentium d @ 2ish MHZ GTS 210 (2-way sli) 3 gb ram 232 gb of space and your gonna upgrade and you want to know what psu you should get? go between 600 and 750W i have a core2quad @ 3.00 and dual GTS 250's and 720w works for me .
I think I would need a new Motherboard to deal with new RAM and new processor, since the one I have is around 5 years old.
as i said, 720w works for me, you should probably get something around that number so you dont have to constantly upgrade it
as i said, 720w works for me, you should probably get something around that number so you dont have to constantly upgrade it
Sorry about that I misunderstood what you wrote. A question about when you get new PSU's, do they come with parts and wires, or no wires, or how is it? [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] OCZ ModXStream PRO 700W Is this a good PSU? It's on around 90$ if my currencies are right
Ive never tried OCZ so i really cant vouch for them. however it's 700w and modular so it looks ok
Ive never tried OCZ so i really cant vouch for them. however it's 700w and modular so it looks ok
If I put this in, would it damage any of my older components? Saving up the money for it, it'll take some time :v: [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] Do you suggest any name of a motherboard that would fit into a SCALEO H from fujitsu siemens? I need names for the parts I should get, so I know what I'm earning up to.
What do you want to upgrade to eventually? 600W should be plenty for just about any single GPU.

As for the motherboard, unless your okay with Micro-ATX. (their quite small) i'd recommend getting a new case before the motherboard. To clarify, if you want to keep your case then get a Micro-ATX motherboard. For names: i'd recommend Asus or MSI
What do you want to upgrade to eventually? 600W should be plenty for just about any single GPU.
Going to take almost a complete computer overhaul in steps. Want to keep the old case as long as I can since it's easier that way, also cheaper.
bad, especially for that price
100,78 dollars without shipping to be exact. If you think it is bad, then what do you suggest? Electronics are quite cheap here in Sweden, just so you remember that..
XFX 650W or Corsair TX650V2 will be far better quality and output more useful power fine for any single GPU setup or the antec high current gamer series
Where in sweden do you live? Webbhallen still has some TX650'ies left in stock, in gothenburg, stockholm and solna, so that you can save the shipping money. And it is cheaper then on komplett and inet. Well if you want to save yourself about 30 bucks that is.

Seems expensive with the shipping. I don't have the money until the end of this month, even though I don't actually know how much I get... [editline]9th October 2011[/editline] Hoping it will be enough though, if not, I ask my parents for some help :v:
Well you could have actually interpreted what i wrote right, and go to the actual store and pick it up.
Webhallen have stores? Didn't know that. I live far away from any of those cities, so I will need to ship it. But I'll buy it as soon as I get it. A question, how do they look when I get them? Are there any cables coming out from them or do you need to open the thing and put your old cables in?
It doesn't seem to be modular, so all the cables are in. Although modular ones just have ports in which you plug in the cables you need.
