My budget is about $1200-$1300
I've spent the last 4 years with a low end desktop (i.e. tf2 30 fps, l4d 25 all low settings) so I would like to get something that would run those games smoothly...
I'm am behind on knowing what the best processors, cards, etc..
I like the XPS 16 but is it a rip? Suggestions would be nice

all you need, you really don't know how much easier using this is than a labtop

or

and a desktop
(yes you can make a good desktop for 400-300 bucks)
My asus G50V gets 3hrs on a 9 cell and reviewers said 2.5hrs on the XPS 16
IF you HAVE TO HAVE a gaming laptop
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220559
and look for a 9cell
I just likethat netbook as recharge time to get to 100% from 30% is about 20minutes and it does last a good while, and can play COD4 pretty well
I'm leaning on the gaming laptop
any ideas how it will run tf2 and l4d cause that is all i care about
I suggest buying hp or dell when going for laptop.

I get 1650x1080 all high 2 aa 2 af 43fps
on a similar kind

but really don't get a gaming laptop or any laptop until you know how long your classes are
Still need a new laptop regardless
long due grad gift you see...
I have personal experience with the XPS 1640, and the thing is absolutely awesome. However, the battery life is absolutely shit at 2hrs for the 6-cell, and a "not bad" 4 hours with the 9-cell. It gets a little toasty at the front, but the bump of the 9-cell would help that.
get the asus and a 1005HA
Probably gonna buy that laptop today
1005HA?
I have no idea what that is
it is a netbook 10+ hrs of battery life
