Reptilian Illuminati overlords to land in Hertfordshire and demand tax money
The clandestine meeting of royalty, prime ministers and business chiefs is taking place in Britain for the first time since 1998, sparking fears of "violence and disturbance" by protesters.
The Bilderberg organisers, who include Tory Cabinet minister Ken Clarke, do not release a guest list but a roll-call of luminaries are expected to descend on a luxury Watford hotel from June 6, forcing police to step up security.
Hertfordshire police have refused to release the cost of security for the event, which has previously drawn anti-capitalist demonstrators in other locations around the world.
However, they are in talks with the Home Office about a grant for "unexpected or exceptional costs" that is only given out if it threatens the stability of the force's policing budget. The final bill would have to total more than one per cent of the police force's overall spend - or about £1.8 million - for the grant to be successful.
The invitation-only Bilderberg meetings are attended by around 140 members of the international elite.
One massive circle-jerk.
Get out my county.
I read about these guys in a book. Interesting, and kinda' scary stuff. The people who attend the meeting are supposedly working to create a united earth government.

it something like this was even remotely true, they wouldn't want the planet to be fucked up as it is and shit like climate change/etc would actually be dealt with, after all you wouldn't want to rule over something that would give more headaches than benefits :v:
its just a bunch of greedy useless fucks.
Exactly, they are likely just in it to profit off one another and partake in a capitalist circle jerk
A lot of news heads will be in attendance out of the 140 elite (but not to report on the conference itself). Makes you wonder, if the news were actually influenced by an agenda/third party to report on world topics with a specific slant, this would be the place.
You can find a couple of leaked reports on the talks they all have in these meetings over on wikileaks.

If you actually believe in this NWO stuff you are insane.

As long as it's peaceful and protects my rights I don't see the problem with a world government.

well technically having a united world government would move our civilization from a .7 to a .9 on the kardashev scale so that would actually be pretty nice.
although because there are no records of the talks in the meeting, it is advisable to assume they are seeing some serious hookers and blow.

cultural homogeneity (although probably a good thing)
they are just having a private discussion. totally legal and they are free to do it without having nut cases accusing them of conspiring against humanity. Just take a look at the wikileaks reports.
If you actually believe in this NWO stuff you are insane.
not really

Maybe.....maybe YOU'RE the insane one for not believing the NWO stuff!
You guys need to look up the money changers.
not really
it's not like such a government would take centuries to form under the best possible conditions and through democratic institutions
You guys need to look up the money changers.
As in the novel?
it's not like such a government would take centuries to form under the best possible conditions and through democratic institutions
I wasn't really talking about the "One World Government" theory, cuz that's some sci-fi shit.

Eventually (like in hundreds, thousands of years) a united earth government will probably be necessary. In fact in my opinion it will be essential to the progress of Science, imagine how much progress we could make scientifically if there were no wars (of course there will still be military or armed police, there will always be terrorists/deranged people). We're already seeing this kind of thing come together with things such as the EU and UN.
Although I also believe this will happen gradually, not in any of our lifetimes. It's not the right time for any fancy ideas like this, we don't have enough MEDCs, the global economy and poverty need to be sorted first.
Everyone is so scared of a world government, when in reality its going to happen eventually. There will come a time when having multiple nations with separate governments is going to just hinder humanities future. Now is definitely not the time for such a entity, but in 100-200 years the world will most likely be ready.

Yes you are right, a group of super billionaires and political leaders suddenly became competent enough to make a super secret society that pulls strings around the world, but lets everyone openly know they exist (even though they are secret!)
A global goverment is in theory a really good thing. But blood must flow for it to become reality D:
As in the novel?
No as in real life history.
I read about these guys in a book. Interesting, and kinda' scary stuff. The people who attend the meeting are supposedly working to create a united earth government.
Oh no, not humanity uniting into one and focusing on problems more important than whose lines in the sand are drawn where.

Don't be such a party pooper, Panzer!
Besides, it's just a meetup where they all talk about world issues. They're kind of global leaders, so there's going to be string pulling.
[sp]It's also nice to see you're still a volatile little shit[/sp]

The theory isn't that they meet and decide some things together, it's that they rule the entire world and most events are orchestrated by them.
[sp]Fuck you too.[/sp]

I've never heard that theory, actually. That theory seems silly to me.
