Though it's a MOBA or whatever, it looks very different than LoL and Dota 2. I may give it a try, but it'll have to be the best game I have ever played to get me to play it over Dota.
I'm not really interested, but the cinematics are top notch as always.
I'm very interested. It looks like they're actually doing something different, and not just trying to ride on the rise of moba popularity.
Neat to see pre-Demon Illidan but i dunno, my biggest problem with MOBAs, and maybe i'm just weird here, and this was further supported by him saying "Carelessness was immediately punished by the other team banging down our doors because, again, the map was teensy tiny." is that there's no room for error or fucking around or fun, it's hard to get into because if you're new, you're probably going to get kicked and i dunno, the difficulty curve is insane and i just don't like it. I mean, when the community shits on you for even picking a hero that you just like rather than is a top-tier hero, there's something wrong. Again, maybe just me. I'll probably pick this up regardless just because of all the neat heroes they've got.
Choosing between skills as you level up? Now THAT's interesting.

Actually the HoTS cinematic was really lackluster considering it was just reused character models limply fighting in a desert.
Compare that to the mists of panderia trailer

MoP trailer was garbage though
Anyone else hate how they seem to be making the characters look more and more anime in their trailers? Mostly visible with Nova's face.

Honestly that depends on the meta. Shitting on picking a rarely used hero is more of an issue in LOL with a much smaller and more static meta than DOta for instance. But what people might shit on you, is when you pick a hero in a role that's already taken and you said hero can't really work in another role much.
The good old five man carry, or three people trying to pick a mid hero is a typical thing of that. Still lower tiers of play tend to have a lot less of this shitting about hero roles than higher ones - in dota at least. In lol I heard that people start griefing if you pick something they don't like.
Well, it's pretty... so there's that?
