In addition to portions of Kansas City, Mo.; Austin, Texas; and Provo, Utah, the company will officially announce that it will make its first foray into Southeastern U.S., adding Atlanta; Nashville, Tenn.; and Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte, N.C.
Google has already announced its potential plans to bring its high-speed service to Portland, Ore.; Phoenix; Salt Lake City, Utah; and San Jose, Calif.

Bring it to Canada, I'm tired of this third world internet

fucking HYPE
I live RIGHT NEXT to Kansas City goddamnit. Come a little more west!
i'd trade the ara phone pilot release for this.
pls google
So does this generally cover a large chunk of the City
Minneapolis has a gigabit isp but it only covers a few city blocks so its totally irrelevant
Bring it to NY. Time Warner sucks

it's the same deal here, a isp provides gigabit here but it's only for the capital and only to a few areas... it's basically non existent for most of us.
Good thing I am moving to Charlotte in a few years

They'd bring it to waterloo most likely

Winnipeg being first for Fiber in Canada would be awesome, and it'd make sense for Google considering that Kansas City was Google's first Fiber city, out in the midwest, not crazy populated (by US standards, that is).
Then we all can say byebye to the MTS and Shaw duopoly.
Why not Australia? We have the worst fucking Internet out of a lot of Western countries shouldn't we be given some priority?
I'm glad all of the salt lake metro area will be getting it, the city has been working with google to get it going. Granted there is lots of fiber around in utah already.
The list of optional cities to move to when I graduate just keeps growing.
Bring it to my tiny <10,000 people city pls
Damn, when is it gonna come to Philly?
Can they expand out away from the cities now, cause pretty much every city around my town has a Fiber optic company, but we're stuck with trash.
yes atlanta
fucking HYPE
Fucking right?
I hope to see it take off quick. Comcast can go eat a bag of dicks.
Ayyy Raleigh, good thing I get NC State internet for now anyway.
Whoo. Nashville. An hours drive from me. Maybe in 15 years I'll have a shot at actually getting decent fucking internet!...oh, wait, who am I kidding, I'll be a crotchety old coot of 84 before ATT lets go of the countryside I live in. Oh well. Nice to see it rolling out in the area, though.
Come on with Jacksonville! We've got a ton of people! Way more than some other cities.
Come on Chicago!
Houston next pls.
Come to the Great Montreal region
We have poutine. Okay, we have GOOD poutine.
I live in Salt Lake City! YES!
Come in Louisiana? Bah, I feel like we'd be the last fucking backwater to get good internets.
Woo, Atlanta. Only a couple of hours away from where I live.
No D.C./NoVA area? So lame...
C'mon, New York, plox.
NYC, Hudson River Valley, and Albany please.
Having Not-Dialup-But-Still-Worse-Than-Dialup internet is pain.
