I have an acer al1913 and a siemens h19 (both 1280x1024), so I plugged both of them in and now the siemens one is randomly turning on and off and shows some weird flickering lines then out of nowhere starts working again. What could cause this? GT 220, 600W PSU, h19 is on DVI-D and the acer one is VGA
this is just a guess, but maybe the semens one isn't plugged securely all the way
Everything is plugged in tightly EDIT: setting the refresh rate on the siemens to 75.5 using nvidia's control panel seems to make it a bit more stable, however it still randomly turns off, any ideas?
Does the Siemens do the same thing if plugged into VGA and the Acer in DVI? Do they both work fine alone in either connector?
The acer is vga only, the siemens doesn't turn off on vga but it has a lot of horizontal lines looking like artifacts. I might try a dvi-vga converter tomorrow if I can find one
If the Siemens isn't even right just on VGA it could just be dying. That's an older monitor.
I opened up the damn thing after trying everything else and it has bad caps inside, gonna try to replace them and see if it works
And it's fixed! 5 bad caps and the problem is gone. [t]http://i.imgur.com/xfsej1b.jpg[/t] Funny story, as soon as I plugged in the fixed siemens, the acer died. Turns out the cable for it was bad too, so now everything is working perfectly!
