• How to find processes in task manager

My computer has a malicious program on it. If I open task manager early enough, I can sometimes find it and shut it down. However, I want to delete it. So, how do you find where programs are from their list in taskmanager? Thank you, facepunch, as you just might save me a lot of money.
Right-click -> Properties.
Right-click the process "Open file location".

What OS do you have? For me it's just going to the process, right clicking it and then selecting the first option
Oh yeah, I should've said that - it's Windows XP.
Ah. Yeah, should've asked the OS before-hand. Unfortuently XP's Task Manager lacks the abundance of functionality that Vista/Win 7 has & thus you can't find the files location. -- HOWEVER, if you know the processes name, you could use google to find a method of manually dealing with it. EDIT; Though to be honest with you, if the file managed to get through and disable your anti-virus software it will more than likely be a fairly complex removal process which you may need to print off ;)

Thank you for your time, though.
I wish you the best of luck in your virus removal.
I've had this. :saddowns:
rogue antiviruses are a bitch
