"Sweetpacks" and "IB Updater Service" adware/malware

Sup FP. I dunno if this is the right place but sure looks like it.
So I just built a new PC, installed windows, chrome, steam, avast, etc.
And not even an hour in to messing around with windows did I come across some browser hijacker and adware named "sweetpacks". Reading about it, it's not really super malicious as a virus, just an annoyance. It must have been a chrome extension that did this or something, I don't really know. So I went to the control panel to uninstall programs by "Sweetpacks", "SweetIM", etc.
Then as I try to uninstall "sweetpacks updater", a popup called "IB Updater Service" shows up with a captcha saying I need to verify that I'm human. My internal alarm went off and I closed it out. But, that means my program didn't uninstall.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I guess reformatting is an option since I don't have much on here anyway. But will it get rid of this stuff?
I also ran malwarebytes and it found something called "PUP.InstallBrain", quarantined and deleted it.
But I think it's still on there.
You can always delete these stupid sweetpacks bullshit by going into C:/Program Files (x86) and stirring in the main folder and breaking the application down. That's what I did with unauthorized applications, just corrupt them.
I still dunno about this IB Updater service business though

the message i get when i try to uninstall a sweetpacks program.
i don't think that's supposed to happen.
i haven't done the captcha yet.
You can bypass it, just find out where the program is located, and delete it's folder manually.
Found out about a program called "adwcleaner", and worked like a charm.
God, that fucking thing is a saint.
