7-Eleven, the nation's largest convenience store chain, is junking the 7.11-ounce Slurpee that it's given away for the past decade by the millions on Slurpee's unofficial birthday — July 11 — and will replace it on Thursday, during this year's Free Slurpee Day, with 12-ounce Slurpees.
12 ounces isn't much, but that doesn't mean you can't go out and take advantage of some free slushy-goodness.
Damn I really want a slushy now...Its face meltingly hot here. Wish we had 7-11s in the UK.

I'm sorry to hear that your 70°F weather is too hot for you.
- From, 106°F in Bahrain w/ 50% humidity.
P.S. My Kuwaiti neighbors average around 120°F.
Slurpee good!

70 degrees is hot?
You'd die in Florida. It's always 90-105.

Makes the heat all the more intense.

And I fucking hate it.
I live in the US and the nearest 7-Eleven is 100 miles away. :C
The catch isn't the temperature, it's the humidity and the temperature.
Hot weather while being able to breathe is great.

You have icy cold AC though
It's very uncommon to have it in the UK, so houses get much hotter from lower temperatures.

Oh great it's this shit again. Yet another thread about temperature derailed (by a mod at that)...
7-11 in Oklahoma doesn't run this promotion.
We have a privately owned franchise that doesn't even see Slurpees, they sell the ICEE brand ones iirc.
Edit: I can a 32 ounce for 69 cents throughout most of the summer, though.
I need to get a ticket to USA quick.
houses in the UK almost always don't have any kind of cooling, only heating
might not be a problem for people that sit inside 24/7 in their ~very hot countries~ !!!
Can you guys talk about "THIS PLACE IS HOTTER" "NO u" in another thread? It's happening bloody everywhere and it's no annoying.

ICEE ones always seem to have worse flavors

Have you considered the possibility that we're not used to higher temperatures? What's normal for some places isn't always normal for other places.

So they're doing incredibly poorly I imagine? Those things are awful.

People who live in a region for a substantial amount of time acclimate to that regions temperature. High school stuff people.
Might be bait to get everyone into a huge offtopic discussion and then ban them.
Careful.

Children are starving in Africa, does that mean we should never complain about being hungry?

I'm only here for less than a month. My body does not evolve and adapt to Bahrain's harsh temperatures in the span of a few weeks.
then you're some kind of super human congrats starpluck, the rest of us mere mortals can't cope
Got my free slurpee and left without buying anything else.
Gotta save that cash for steam games after all.
I love free things.
