That's Sonic 06 and then the fans asked for them to release it Lets not make that mistake with L4D3 and HL3
You can ask for info on HL3, but IT'S NO USE
I checked and pigs are not flying yet
Am I the only one that's way happier than I should be right now? I mean, it's practically confirmed. We know it's in development and not being scrapped-- that's good news.
Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.
I think we would know by now if it had been canned, otherwise the only thing is to assume it is being made, albeit very slowly.
Half Life 3 better be worth the weight.
However amazing they make it, a lot of people will be disappointed I reckon. It's been hyped up way too much. The fact you can make an article based on vague hearsay is a good indicator.
Fans and media are curious and Valve doesn't speak about it at all, you can't call that hype.
i bet when he finally reveals it gabe will have a heart attack
However amazing they make it, a lot of people will be disappointed I reckon. It's been hyped up way too much. The fact you can make an article based on vague hearsay is a good indicator.
There is literally zero information about both HL3 and L4D3, there only exist old concept arts for Episode 3 from 2007 and 2008. Media and websites jump onto every fucking possibility to write about them. They haven't even been officially announced by Valve, so all this "too much hype" thing is those websites and media responsibility. And anyone who hyped it to death, even though nothing exists about both atm should just stop with it and go the fuck away. No one needs this "too much hype" or "will never meet the expectations". It just leads to even more disappointed people, because they were so out of touch with the reality and think of these games as the second coming of christ.
However amazing they make it, a lot of people will be disappointed I reckon. It's been hyped up way too much. God bless you Minh, at least we have SOME knowledge of what's going on. Let's hope there's at least something worth showing at the next real games convention. On a side note, is Valve not going to E3 again this year?
As I said before, I'd really rather have L4D3 before HL3 simply so it gets the brunt of the Source2 teething issues.
Holy shit L4D3! Can't wait for the first pieces of information and Source 2 is coming as well most likely, good times!
HL3 is most likely going to be the debut source2 game, so it's really no surprise it's taking this long. They have to get the engine in working order before they can work on the game.
Am I the only one that's way happier than I should be right now? I mean, it's practically confirmed. It's not like this is the first we've heard of it.
Imagine if episode 3 got released now and lasted about 4 hours, no real engine upgrades. Bellevue would burn.
Imagine if episode 3 got released now and lasted about 4 hours, no real engine upgrades. Bellevue would burn.
I wouldn't complain if the 4 hours were a really good 4 hours.
I wouldn't complain if the 4 hours were a really good 4 hours.
seriously if they improved upon episode 2 even a little bit I would enjoy the fuck out of it. Episode 1 was awesome; episode 2 blew my fucking socks off with awesome.
What really matters to me is what kind of gameplay renovations they'd make for HL3. It's been a long time, so hopefully the HEV suit will have been upgraded a fair bit. Also, if Gordon still runs into resistance troops, perhaps the whole "squad control" mechanic from the HL2 "Trilogy" will be overhauled and more in-depth thanks to a command module. When you've been keeping folks hanging for so long, you'd probably want the game to be as awesome as it can be.
Seriously, who thought Valve would be "No no, it's not canceled at all, promised" while hiding the scrapped codes and models in a hard drive and burying it forever? If it was canceled or whatever, they would have say it. It's fucking valve, they were always and always will be secretive about their developpements, it's no fucking surprise.

There's always conflict whether it would be Half life 3, or Half life 2: Episode 3 Plot twist, they release both at the same time
That's Sonic 06 and then the fans asked for them to release it Lets not make that mistake with L4D3 and HL3
That's the stupidest hoax ever. Sega rushed the game because they wanted it out for the holidays and the PS3 release, it wasn't because fans asked for.
I do wonder if Valve is going to throw their hat into the indie engine market. Much like UE4, CryDev and Unity.
