• Upgrade (Roughly $600 Budget)

I'm doing an upgrade on a limited budget, I'm planning on getting it in portions, I won't get it all at one time, but rather build up the computer piece by piece. Here's my current specs:
MOBO ---------- Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G31M-S2L Bus Clock: 200 megahertz GRAPHICS ---------- ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series ( HD 4850 ) PROCESSOR ---------- 2.50 gigahertz Intel Pentium Dual-Core 64 kilobyte primary memory cache 2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache 64-bit ready Multi-core (2 total) Not hyper-threaded RAM ---------- 2 Gigs of pqi DDR2 RAM (don't know latency or anything)
Anyways, I think the GPU will probably be the last thing I need to worry about. CPU and RAM are my primary concerns. I like to play games and run programs like After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5, so they suck up a lot of RAM to render. I want a $600 or so upgrade. I'm planning on buying a new case, so I figured a cheap one with decent airflow would be best. Here's what I've whipped up, please feel free to edit it or suggest something else. I want to go with an AMD AM3 mobo though. Thanks! [editline]12:33AM[/editline] Crap, please move to PC Building!!!
