Mnkay. So I've been in a sort of crappy situation lately. A bit ago I transferred all my stuff into my new HAF. Doing so, I was stupid enough to not use those back-screw like things, so I blew a motherboard. So, went and borrowed a different one (Specifically, burnt an ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe, was using some Gigabyte thing). I couldn't Crossfire my 4870X2s because the second 16x PCI-E port was broken in half (literally, I can get some pics if you all want). Finally got my ASUS back from RMA, stuck it together. And here I am. Did a Windows 7 reinstall.
So, both 4870X2s back in, Crossfire bridge connected, and what do you know? Catalyst says..:
"The CrossFireX internal bridge interconnects linking your CrossFireX graphics cards are not properly connected. Both bridge interconnects must be attached."
I used two different Crossfire bridges, no help.
Running latest Catalyst for Windows 7 64-bit.
...Help if you can.

ASUS included Crossfire bridge
You have to use 2 crossfire bridges since two x2 is 4 gpus, buy 2 of the same brand in a store. Don't buy 1 and use it next to asus one.

This, or your bridge might be broken.

Also I'm not sure but did you by any chance use a SLI bridge ?
No, I didn't use an SLI bridge. I've used Crossfire before, doing this same exact setup. -And I don't see a second area for another bridge, someone want to point it out for me?

I've used two different bridges, (from ASUS, the one that came with the cards is way too short)
Here are pictures of the setup.

Connected.

As seen, the 4870X2s only have a spot for one Crossfire bridge. And.. also as seen, I put it in correctly.
