Started a month or two back, one every week or two, recently the rebooting has got to the point where the computer will barely stay on for 10minutes before just rebooting without warning. The screen goes black, no BSODs, no erros, the screen just goes black and begins to boot the computer back up.
I noticed my motherboard had its dram_led light flashing, which stands for a memory error. I have gone through and tested all the memory modules individually using memtest, running the test 3 times per module (1 and a half hour per module) and no errors have come up. Could I be looking at a defective board? Computer is barely 9 months old so everything is still under warranty.
Specs are as follows:
Asus M4A87TD EVO
Corsair 600w power supply
AMD Phenom X4 955
8gn DDR3 Corsair
ATI HD6850 1gb GDDR5
2 x SATA Hard drives
1 x ATA disc drive
Possible over heating problems. Do these reboots happen when your doing anything cpu or gpu intensive?
Hope you fix your problem
If it means anything the worst bout of reboots happened after the computer had been off for about a day, I could clean it but there is no way near enough dust in there to be causing any issues.
I have been playing bad company 2 recently, and the computer gets pretty loud when playing that, had one reboot while playing that, but I have been able to play through the whole of games like Crysis 1 & 2 on maximum settings and not once did I have a reboot.
Possibly dying motherboard?
It could be one of the following
1) Viruses and Spyware
2) Drivers
3) Overheating
4) Memory (RAM) problems
5) Power Supply (PSU) issues
But you have said you have tested your ram so that sholdnt be the problem.

Could be drivers? Run dxdiag, and have it check that your drivers are WHQL certified. Now, we all have devices which come with non MS certified drivers, but as a trouble shooting exercise, disable anything with a non WHQL driver and see how you go. Also update your drivers from the manufactuars website.
I doubt its virus/spyware, drivers I will reinstall to be certain, overheating is doubtful as I have played numerous demanding games that have ran flawlessly. I am doubting memory issues, as the memtest results came back fine.
I am thinking possibly an issue with the motherboard at the moment, it seems the system runs totally fine with just one stick of ram in, will see what happens when I place 2 sticks in, then 4, see if I can it to reboot again. If it doesnt happen again might just put it down to reseating some of the components being the solution to the problem.
Allright well good luck

Remember when uninstalling drivers to use something like driver sweeper or driver cleaner to make sure they're totally removed, then reinstall them.
Is your RAM running in the correct settings (frequency, latencies, dual-channel etc etc)? And run memtest for longer, only getting a few passes isn't a conclusive test.
