Tens of people shocked
Not surprising but still sad to hear.
Yeah while many other Japanese publishers have started, they don't also sell consoles. It'll be a cold day in hell before Nintendo starts.
This is why emulators exist
no sequels to mario's game gallery or mario teaches typing then
no sequels to mario's game gallery or mario teaches typing then
Eh, Mario Teaches Typing might be more relevant on the Switch's touchscreen than a PC nowadays.
If Nintendo decided to release their games on pc then there would be no reason to buy the Switch, or whatever console they're selling. Only reason why Nintendo is still around is due to the popularity of their first party games.

And who expects them to? A lot of the games on the Switch would not work very well on PC because of the nature of the console itself and the gameplay mechanics that make use of it anyways. Not everybody has a PC that can run all these games either, especially considering their target audience, so in the end it would be a waste of time and money on Nintendo's part.

However, Nintendo really has no reason to do that unless they plan on getting out of the hardware business entirely, which thankfully they don't seem to be planning.

First, they could just sell the games for $80, and that would make up the cost of the hardware on average. They could also have a rent service similar to Netflix, but for their game library. Sure there would be backlash, but it's Nintendo, they're known for not giving a fuck.
Nintendo isn't going to be a mobile dev either right.
Nintendo isn't going to be a mobile dev either right.
I don't consider a couple of minor spin off games making them a "mobile device". It's not like they're porting Super Mario 3D Land to Android and iOS. I do wonder if maybe we'll get a Nintendo VR game for PC though, following that logic. I wouldn't mind a port of that Federation Force game to PC VR just for funsies :v:
Nintendo isn't going to be a mobile dev either right.
Mobile and PC are two massively different markets its why I get mad whenever anyone actually compared MOBILE 'GAMERS' to pc gamers its like yeah man people playing angry birds while bored on a trip is totally the same to that guy that has a 144hz monitor and plays cs:go 24/7 is the same exact thing haha [editline]5th July 2017[/editline]
Not entirely true, there are a good number of first party nintendo titles that would work fine with a standard controller on any platform.
Nintendo isn't going to be a mobile dev either right.
It's says in the article that they've made mobile games for publicity Besides, all they have put on those platforms are small games like Super Mario Run, not their behemoths like Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey, and if they were to release the latter games on hardware other than their own then it would compromise Switch sales.
The only Nintendo games on mobile are ones that they couldn't justify releasing on their consoles anyways
