[release]
Anonymous takes aim at Google+ in more ways than one
Threatens attack against Google social networking site, plus new competitor //Source: NetworkWorld ______________________________ Google+ may be getting some attention it doesn't want -- from Anonymous, which says it will target the new social networking site that launched last month. After being dumped from Google+ for violating the site's community standards, the site Your Anon News announced that it would create its own social networking site, but also that it knew of an "operation" being organized against Google+. Past Anonymous operations include Operation Payback, which took down pro-copyright, anti-piracy sites, and Operation Orlando, which paralyzed sites about the city of Orlando, Fla., in retaliation for the city shutting down a food-distribution program in a city park. Operations typically involve DDoS attacks against targets and theft of information that later gets posted online. The Anonymous social website www.anonplus.com is under construction. So far it consists of an explanation of how it came to be and a promise to be operational soon. It posts the online names of 17 people that make up its Java development team. It also links to a developers' forum. Saturday, Your Anon News posted an image of the notice it received from Google + that read: "Your profile is suspended. After reviewing your profile, we determined that some of your content (eg. Text, images) violates our community standards." The site says that other Anonymous-related accounts were also banned from Google+ and that the group's Gmail account was shut down. Later the group posted on its website its goals for AnonPlus. "This is one social network that will not tolerate being shut down, censored, or oppressed -- even in the face of blackout. We the people have had enough," the site says.[/release] Oh man... This gon' be good! Although, personally... no offense, Anon... I don't mean to sound pro-google or anything, but I don't think you can stand a chance against giant-ass Google... it's like David vs Goliath :/
Thesaurus savvy nerds vs. multi-million corporate giant. This is gonna be good. We are Anonymous. We are legion...in body fat.
Fuck off Anonymous I like Google+
How can you be anonymous and have a profile on a social networking site.
I think that would be really funny if 4chan was knocked off of Google search engines in retaliation. Might make a small dent into 4chan's popularity (not much though).
This is ridiculous and has to stop.
It wasn't even a personal attack you fucking retards
If anyone can fuck Anon up it's Google, this is the internet equivalent of a man grabbing a gun and going up against the US Army
Java
lol
it's like David vs Goliath :/
But David won.
Why is it that anon has been lately going against undefeatable enemies anyway?
Typical "HURR DURR WE OUR LEGION WE DONT LIKE CENSCORASICPSH" I hope Anonymous gets fucked inside out by Google
This really doesn't belong in the news >implying "anonymous" has collective ideals on everything
t's like David vs Goliath :/
It's nothing like that. You don't even know how that won. It's like a semi and a small thin African orphan child. No matter how hard that child tries, he's going to get fucked in the end.
Typical "HURR DURR WE OUR LEGION WE DONT LIKE CENSCORASICPSH" I hope Anonymous gets fucked inside out by Google
If Google and Anon were two people, and actually were having a fight, and Google showed no mercy at all, Google would tear Anon's guts everywhere and defaecate on the remains. But Google would never cause we know they're good like that. :3:
Yeah like this idea will take off, let's see if they get any attention after they release it.
...or the kid could just drive the semi
The semi would be on a road at 90 mph, with the kid in front of it.
I hope google makes an "anon tracker" that we can watch when they perform ddos attacks by putting blips on google maps.
Akin to that xkcd comic, I hope they direct advertisments at preteen girls towards 4chan.
You know I enjoy 4chan and all that but... A social networking site made up of /b/ members? No thanks.
Anon are such fucking children. They can't get their way so they try and create enough drama that people will take their side. Google isn't some evil truth concealing corporation they just don't want people polluting a social network site with pictures of sick shit.
This really doesn't belong in the news >implying "anonymous" has collective ideals on everything
>implying that this is 4chan and you're not a fucking idiot
uhm i think i might be the first one to ask: why?
Am I the only one who notices the dilemma of trying to combine anonimity and social networking? "Hey dude, what's your name? It's a secret. Okayyy, so where do you live? I don't want to tell. Are you even a guy? Maybe..."
This scriptkiddy bullshit has to go. It's really fucking annoying, "this is an honorable cause, join us in taking down services that millions rely upon daily" angsty 14 year old kid that gets his ass kicked around "OKAY!"
uhm i think i might be the first one to ask: why?
If you use a social networking site you're a "faggot" for some reason?
If you use a social networking site you're a "faggot" for some reason?
"hah you have friends that you know by name faggot"
but i like google plus :(
This is absolutely stupid. They are just angry that they got kicked off a good social website in which they agreed to a Content Policy and then violated. Then there's the whole, "Anonymous Social Network" which doesn't make sense.
Google+ is better than all the Facebook bullshit because it removes derp. Anon acts derpy, it gets removed. I'd call that violating rules, not censorship...
