Hello facepunch I had recently bought a new PSU ( this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371025 ) and I am having trouble figuring out if it is DOA. I am plugging it in and getting no response but because it is my first build I am unsure if this would normally get a response so I was wondering if you guys to tell me some ways to test it.
Try this: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96712-how-jump-start-power-supply-psu.html If it doesn't turn on it's definitely dead.
Try this: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96712-how-jump-start-power-supply-psu.html

Step 1 Plug in the Power Cable to the wall, and then into the back of the Power Supply. Make sure the Power Supply is flipped to 1 and not 0. I like to remember 1 is for power because 1 looks like I, and I have ADHD. So I always haves me some powers. 0 is like O which is like my OH face. Then I am drained of power.
:frog:

Okay anyway I have another problem when I plug my PSU in to the mobo all of my fans start spinning for like half a second and then stop is this normal or should I be worried. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] bumping for answer
You can just return the item and get a replacement. It's covered by the standard return policy of newegg. http://www.newegg.com/HelpInfo/ReturnPolicy.aspx#44
