Mouse randomly double-clicks and computer loads things unusually fast

Now the latter part of this sentence might sound like a strange complaint, but it started happening pretty simultaneously with my mouse button randomly having started to double-click and cancel holding down the button to select text or drag objects.
My mouse will about half of the time I click anything do a double-click, and will automatically cancel sometimes while I'm holding the button down to do another click. This often makes it hard to for example open lists like bookmarks/history and such because it automatically open and closes them, sometimes when I close a window it clicks the close button on the one behind it, copying and pasting texts is a pain in the ass since it randomly drags pieces of text around or deselects what I'm trying to mark text, and in games where you have to charge something (such as the Huntsman in TF2) it often releases the charge too early.
I've sorta had this problem before a couple of months ago, but back then I don't remember it having the same problem with my computer simultaneously loading things unusually fast, and it stopped when I blew under the mouse button in case there was dust or something (but this has not worked ever since the problem came back, and it might have just been chance that it stopped). I have also tried out my mouse on another computer where it had no fault with double clicking, and I've tried checking for dust in the usb port and simply putting it in another usb port.
Regarding how my computer now suddenly loads some things faster... games and big programs remain unchanged, but opening new windows or loading new browser pages is now happening very instantly, and I could swear my mouse speed has slightly accelerated movement. It has made me feel a bit uneasy and I've used both Microsoft Security Essentials and Spybot Search and Destroy to see if it was a virus or something, but I've had no results.
The most we can say for your mouse problem is install drivers, attempt manual repair, then replace.
As for your programs opening unusually fast could be any number of things. It wouldn't be caused by a virus or malware so it's nothing you should worry about.

Weird, usually people complain about their PC's being slow. :v:
Did the graphic settings disable for some reason? Is Aero disabled?
So... I know shit about computers so don't take my word for it... but I think my fan might be cooling my computer TOO good. My computer's been acting fine all day with no problems... so I start TF2... I play for a little while and my computer starts processing... then my fans start working wonders and my computer gets really cool... and my mouse is now clicking like a motherfucker at every chance and things are loading so fast I feel uneasy.
This shit is fucking weird, what the hell is going on
I talked with my friend yesterday about my issue, and he said it sorta sounded like the problem you can sometimes have when your computer has been shut off for a very long time and when you start it, it's very cold and runs some things very fast while acting laggy with other things. He however said it doesn't make sense it being that since I often have my computer on 24/7, and if it was just my fans they would have to achieve minus degrees to cause this effect.
So what I'm thinking a bit... I've been freezing my ass off lately because the winter months have been making my apartment increasingly colder and the radiators seem fucking useless at keeping this place warm... could this fact combined with the effective cooling on my computers cause this effect by making my computer constantly abnormally cold?
No, just because a computer is cooler won't make it faster or run differently.
Unless you have one of those fancy motherboards that automatically overclock themselves.
Regardless most bottlenecks happen to be your harddrives, they're slow as fuck; especially when they're fragmented.
The mouse issue is unrelated, but your computer simply could be running faster because you left it on overnight-- which windows automatically defrags at around 3:00am.
I'm bumping this because even if you guys think this is funny, it's still an annoying ass problem which is effecting a lot of the things I do on my computer. No matter if I keep my computer on over night, it will at times start running overly fast... some general things will behave in slightly strange ways, and I do not kid when I say that it drastically increases the amount of times my mouse will miss-click. I can notably see how my mouse more frequently starts double-clicking things and canceling drags when my computer suddenly speeds up
so what mouse do you have?
sounds like your computer shows signs of ADHD

also slow down stop talkingsofast I cant even keep up
if it's a logitech like the g600 or something, I get that two, but inverting it in LGS AND Mouse settings fixes it
It's a Microsoft USB "IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0" with a cord.
I checked Mouse settings and didn't notice anything odd, excuse my ignorance but I don't know what you mean with "LGS" though

tl;dr I'd try and go to mouse settings and change the double click speed, center it about, or use a faster one. As well as see if the program that mouse uses is installed / up to date.

Applications/Files that you use often are automatically cached into RAM using SuperFetch
As far as your mouse is concerned, Have you tried using a different mouse?

Haha, that seemed to have done the trick. Thanks. I wonder what changed it in the first place

Hmmm no... it PARTLY fixed it... It still randomly doubleclicks and lets go, but less frequently than before
Random doubleclicks and drops may also be hardware failure on the buttons in the mouse. Mine at home does this every now and again, I just haven't gotten around to replacing them yet.

Unless the effect is localized to your machine only, in which case the mouse can't be at fault. At least not solely at fault.

You download things from shady places? Do you run .exe's before scanning/looking at the code?
