Actors Chris Pratt and Chris Evans visit with a child at Christopher's Haven in Boston, Mass. in a photo posted to Pratt's Facebook page on Feb. 6, 2015.
Chris Pratt today made good on his bet, posting six photos of his visiting children at Christopher's Haven in Boston.
If you recall, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star bet "Captain America" star Chris Evans that if the Patriots won the Super Bowl, he would travel to Boston dressed as Star-Lord and visit the sick kids staying at the organization that provides housing for families who bring their child to MassGeneral Hospital for Children for cancer treatment.
...
"Made good on that #twitterbowl bet! Starlord is [p]roud to be in Boston today at #ChristophersHChristopher's Haven with Chris Evans and some awesome families. #12thMan," he wrote. "(roud is short for proud) #BigThumbsLittlePhone."

Closest we would see the two characters together anyway, marvel has said starlord will never meet cap
Really great bet and everybody won

Heh heh heh heh.
Praise our lord and savior, Christ.... Pratt
Chris Pratt's career has blown up and I'm glad he hasn't become a money happy douche. He's genuinely a great guy.
Patt has always been a good dude. Came from the bottom of the economic gutter, and he's kept his humbleness very nicely.

I mean, Iron Man has appeared in quite a few of the Guardian comics. I wouldn't put it beyond Marvel to stick Cap' in there someday.

The story behind this:
The kid said he wanted to meet Iron Man. So Robert Downey Jr. came to his house and the kid cried because it wasn't iron man (as in the suit)
Nice of Chris Evans to go with him, itd be neat if he did his side of the bet regardless that he lost.

He said that he will.

When a celebrity makes a big giant feel-good promise like that based on a bet, it's pretty much guaranteed they're going to do it either way

No marvel has said the starlord is in another universe. Still I'd love to see rocket vs ironman in a weapons 1-up contest

What? Isn't Thanos on both the Avengers and Guardians?
Shame that Captain America wasn't in uniform.

and the collector
Yeah, they share a universe. Not sure where this "They can't be together." or "Separate universes." thing has come from.
Marvel has gone to pretty extensive lengths to make sure all of their movies exist in one universe. Hence why they call it the "Marvel Cinematic Universe". Just like you've got multiple universes in the comics, like the Ultimate universe and such, the Cinematic universe is a distinct one as well.
I'd rather not watch a crossover. For some reason, I just feel like the more recognizable Marvel characters and settings would cramp the style.

I think he confused them saying "This cosmic universe" as it literally being another universe, instead of, you know, referring to space.

Thanos is like the baddest of the bad in pretty much anything Marvel does. I'm sure we'll get a Guardians/Avengers crossover someday.
Imagine if they went to a kid who hasn't seen the movie, and he walks in, and is like;
Starlord: Hey
Kid: Hey, who are you?
Starlord: I am... I'm starlord, You haven't heard of starlord? Great fugitive of the galaxy?
Kid: Nope
Starlord: sigh.... this always happens.
this thread reminded me i still haven't seen GoTG but I already think Chris Pratt is a great guy doing this

Yeah no. If they were in a different universe, Iron Man wouldn't be a member of the Guardians. Besides, everybody and their second cousin got involved in things like the Cancerverse and Thanos Imperative, so that pretty much moots any sort of "x will not meet x" argument.

I mean as far as marvel movies goes they said there is no starlord returning to earth and going "oh look there's the hulk and avengers"
How about looking this up before you go full geek about comic universes
http://screenrant.com/avengers-guardians-galaxy-crossover-movie-james-gunn/
Straight from the director himself, no starlord cap crossover for the foreseeable future which is the next 10 years of planned movies
Take it for what it is, the director of the avengers movies specifically saying no teamups with gotg in the works, that's all marvel has said on the matter
To be honest, knowing Chris Pratt he probably would have done it even if he hadn't won the bet.

Literally all that says is "Its a bit up in the air, we haven't settled just yet." In fact, the article even makes it plainly clear he's not saying its never going to happen, it just needs to be worked out. And, and it also says that they do exist in the same universe. So, you know, good job reading your own source.
A universe in a comic series, saying something isn't possible or gonna happen?
Thought I'd never see the day.

Ya in like 10 years after avengers 2-3 are already done by which point cap will have been recast
Fucking derailing the thread off of one comment, which I was implying its not going to happen anytime soon and you implying its coming next movie
