Hey, my brother wants to know an upgrade for my computer he can get me for my birthday. Now when I first built my rig I had gotten three Nvidia GTX 285s. The bad news was that the Asus motherboard I had gotten didn't have room for a third dual-slot card. So now I'm wondering what would be better, getting a new video card or a motherboard so I can use the three 285s. My motherboard recently ran into problems with windows not being able to recover from sleep mode but I did a BIOS update that seemed to cure it. I'm thinking it would be better to just upgrade to a single new video card now and be able to SLI it down the road. So I would like your opinions on the matter and some recommendations on the hardware. Current specs: Intel i7 920 6 gigs of RAM (have 6 more but they seemed to cause video driver crashes) Asus Rampage 2 Extreme Motherboard Nvidia GTX 285 x2 Corsair 1000w power supply
Get a 570 I guess. Or if you can't, a 560 Ti. Or if you can, a 580.
I looked around Tigerdirect and Newegg I found the some cards: PNY 560 Ti EVGA 570 Now what I would like to know is what would be the difference between the two? Would the extra money be worth it to just get the 570?
