I have to admit when I saw this in my RSS feed I thought the awards were being presented, not the voting period has opened.
Ha.
I don't think I've seen any indie games that need anthing above a O.K PC to play, much less any using CryENGINE 3 (unless they mean mods). It's a good thing indie games don't really look on graphical prowess, at least not before Intresting game mechanics or story, and even then, the graphics in most Indie look more "artsy" than realistic.
But, Alienware's probably just sponsoring this only becuase they sponsor everythng with a P and a C in it.
Oh look, someone who doesn't know what Indie means.

It's an endorsement, they get paid to say that, chill out.
Its good they don't let mods win that have won in previous years win again. I remember last year they said in the honorable mentions that Project reality would have won it every year since its release.
I can't think of a single mod that was released this year.
I nominate Hezzy.
The only thing I can think of is that GTA IV: San Andreas mod, but I don't think it's even finished yet so
I can't call it a release.

hmmm that mod looks pretty interesting, downloading it right now. I can't wait till the voting is down though to see all the mods I have missed out on this year. But I recommend following this mod if your one of those people who would prefer another Kotor instead of Tor http://www.moddb.com/mods/revenge-of-revan

The Stanley Parable was a great mod, but I cant say its the best. Been to busy to try out a lot of mods.

It's an alright mod, but it's not really Mod of the Year material yet. Maybe given more time an updates it will, but for now it's pretty bland.
voted for Conscript.
