ASUS's website is so slow, I had to wait for hours just to get a web page to load! When you try to download a file, it asks you to install there download manager and it gets worse, its not even English. Took me all day just to get my motherboard drivers. I've never had to install any download manager from asus.
It's not making me use a download manager. And the site's pretty fast for me.
Its was not long ago, but ASUS requires you to install there download manager to download drivers off the site now.
Its was not long ago, but ASUS requires you to install there download manager to download drivers off the site now.
I just tested it. No download manager needed.
Its was not long ago, but ASUS requires you to install there download manager to download drivers off the site now.
Oh shit, I can confirm this. Damn you ASUS. Well I don't have to install anything but It's annoying.
I guess its only for some downloads right now. When I try to download the sound drivers for my motherboard it keeps asking me to use there download manager.
Pro tip. Don't lose the cd
Pro tip. Don't lose the cd
Yeah because the cd always contains the most up to date drivers.
Yeah because the cd always contains the most up to date drivers.
Hahaha. Zing!
I used it yesterday and the DLM was in english. I don't see a problem, maybe you clicked on global instead of english?
Its was not long ago, but ASUS requires you to install there download manager to download drivers off the site now.
no you don't download the file off the site then open it via update manager. [editline]03:00AM[/editline] also don't download from asus jp
What I found was annoying was when I tried to find sound drivers for an old PC, it came in some stupid, multipart zip file...
Don't MS and other people use the same DL manager?
Don't MS and other people use the same DL manager?
no, window update does but this is for motherboard drivers [editline]06:50PM[/editline]
What I found was annoying was when I tried to find sound drivers for an old PC, it came in some stupid, multipart zip file...
you clicked the wrong link then
no, window update does but this is for motherboard drivers [editline]06:50PM[/editline] you clicked the wrong link then
Not for windows updates, but for MS stuff. I'mm sure getting Win 7 beta to download required a download manager of some sort for IE.
Not for windows updates, but for MS stuff. I'mm sure getting Win 7 beta to download required a download manager of some sort for IE.
That makes sense. I mean, a download manager ensures that it won't start over if interrupted.
Not for windows updates, but for MS stuff. I'mm sure getting Win 7 beta to download required a download manager of some sort for IE.
No you don't have to use it
get the sound drivers from realtek or whatever your integrated is. realtek has a good site.
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx looks to be in english to me
Its was not long ago, but ASUS requires you to install there download manager to download drivers off the site now.
I bet it's Windows only? What about Linux/Mac OS/FreeBSD/whatever? [editline]06:47PM[/editline]
Not for windows updates, but for MS stuff. I'mm sure getting Win 7 beta to download required a download manager of some sort for IE.
It was a one-time app. It was useful for that huge iso.
You can avoid this and save yourself some CPU cycles by getting a dedicated sound card from a reputable company. Though ASUS has never been problematic for me, other than the fact I've had to RMA my mobo twice and my graphics card once :v: both are ASUS.
I hate ASUS's website. Thankfully, I only go there when I want to update my BIOS. Otherwise, Windows Update seems to get all the drivers and such that I need, and I have a Razer soundcard, so I don't need to worry about getting the drivers from ASUS. Although Razer's site is just as bad as ASUS, just in different ways.
It was a one-time app. It was useful for that huge iso.
so? [editline]03:56PM[/editline]
No you don't have to use it
But it was there. God damn it
