Relax. I want you to feel weightless. Put your headphones in, and turn up the sound enough to shut out the world. Get inside your own head. When you're done reading, close your eyes and feel yourself drift into oblivion. I want you to lean back. I want you to relax. I want you to think back, to when you were young. Long before you knew of facepunch. Long before anything in this world mattered. When you lived it day by day. I want you to remember when this was cool. When You'd blow the cartridge, ten maybe 12 times until it worked. When trying to find and kill all the gold skulltulas was far more important than girls, or money. Let a balmy warmth cover this memory, paired with a golden light. Almost a dull amber. Like a sunset. Remember your elementary school. Remember your childhood friends. Few of which you'll ever see again. Remember relatives who have long since passed. Pets who no longer require your care, from beyond this world. Relax FP. Let me handle your troubles for these few minutes. Let me hold your hand and make sure you're okay. In a world that couldn't care less about you, FP. I care. Now close your eyes. [editline]27th November 2010[/editline] I did not write this, nor do I take ownership.
My dog just died this week, and it feels very enlightening to read this. Rated hearts :']
Holy shit I miss my childhood now :smith:
I want to go back to being six now. Please.
Damn you :smithicide:

When I was little me and my family would go to Polzeath on holiday (before the Southerners ruined it) and we'd go to see the Shire horses. They were great.
I heard this when I read this. Man, good times back then. . .
That was a good read, very heart warming
Great read. Wish I would of played back in the day... had a N64 but I was never told about OoT :(.
Reading things like this make me very sad. I had a great childhood, it was perfect. However, my girlfriend's childhood ended when she was young. Her mother was abusive, and she had to grow up and learn how to take care of herself to survive at a young age. She never got the joys of being a kid. Even now, when she lives with her grandmother, she still doesn't have a childhood, or even the joys of being a teenager. She's 16, and she works like she's 30. She still gets yelled at. It makes me so sad that I got to have all this fun while she had to study and work for her future. I'd give up everything I have, and everything I have had just so that she could experience the joy of being a kid. It's hard watching the one you love miss out on the happiest part of their life. Be thankful, FP. Not everyone got to have neighborhood adventures, or the epic quest of saving the princess. Some people went through hell while you went through Hyrule. Be glad you had such a good childhood, and be sure to make sure your kids have one that's even better.

This wasn't the best designed game, it didn't have the most intriguing plot, the music wasn't the most grandiose score ever written, and the gameplay was frustrating from time to time. You didn't really know why you needed these mystical sage tokens to defeat Ganon, or why giant slug beasts sometimes ate you and your shield. Despite these things and many more, I say without a doubt it was the best game I ever played.

Damnit. I remember playing my N64 and beating Ganondorf fucking made my week and feeling like a badass for killing Andross and escaping Venom on Star Fox 64. I miss being a little kid. Thank you for the great read.

I wish I could've done more to help you get through those tough times.

I tend to remember the song most where I'd get stuck in the games, listening to the track for literally hours dicking around in-game. Can't do that anymore.
Zelda Theme, fucking awesome.
I remember. I wish I could've done more to help you get through those tough times.
You did, your videos :smith: You may think they were stupid but they helped more than you ever could imagine.

I feel bad for bashing my older "work", I never realized that something I made in my spare time could have such an impact on people.
I played Command and Conquer with my PS1 for about an hour every time I got back home from school. In 2nd grade. (yes, 2nd, equivalent to 3rd in US) [editline]28th November 2010[/editline] Good times
It may not of been good on a scale of quality and such, but it has your emotion, heart and soul filled to the brim, which is the most important thing.
I remember getting so excited when I uploaded a video.
Wow, hearing this on my birthday. Helped a bit. Thanks.
I nostalgia'd epically :saddowns:
Ugh I'm crying my fucking eyes out. I've become such a bad person, Facepunch I want to go home again :smith:
This song makes me remember the days of watching Samurai Jack, where summers seemed to stretch on forever. The frightening thing is that by the time you're 18, you've already lived 50% of your perceived life, I can't believe I'm already living on less then half of my life :smith:
but I'm happier now :saddowns:

Heard all of them so many times... Brings back so many memories...
Gotta say I don't miss school
