I recently finished this build: [URL]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1279028[/URL] I've been trying to install the graphics drivers for two days now. I've tried many different ways, reinstalling them over and over again, and removing the integrated graphics. Currently, it only works on the integrated graphics. The card does not work. I am certain it is connected correctly. I've tried installing my old graphics card, which worked perfectly on the first try. I've installed the 13.5, 13.4, 13.1 and 12.7 versions. I've cleaned them beforehand with Driver Sweeper, Uninstall Utility, and Driver Fusion. I'm at a complete loss. In the Device Manager, Windows 7 shows that it does detect the card correctly, and that there are no problems. I first assumed it was a conflict with the integrated graphics, seeing as it previously showed a Error 43 message. After removing the integrated graphics driver, it stopped giving me a error message, but it doesn't yet work. If anyone could be of any assistance, I'd really really appreciate it. [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] Could it be that I need to update my BIOS? I'm a bit tentative about flashing my BIOS, I've already resorted to my second backup BIOS. The first one has the 'Integrated Graphics' off, which causes it to not show anything. Not even in BIOS [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] Or is the power supply not proficient?
500W seems like enough to me, and no one else in PC building said anything, so it's probably adequate. The card ought to work without any drivers, so it may not be a driver problem at all. You may have to RMA the video card. That's all I can really think of to be honest. I don't know anything about BIOS updates though and if that would help. If the RMA process is cheap and easy enough, I would probably just try that first.
Update your bios if possible, make sure your default video source in your bios is not your integrated gpu. if that doesn't work, send that 7870 back
