• Should I get more case fans for my PC? scared about heat

oh yeah, im contemplating watercooling too case is a Coolermaster HAF 912 Its in a shitty tight space, currently only got the front intake and the small back out fan. Im really paranoid about heat, do I even need another fan or should it be ok with just the front and back fans? If I need another should it be an intake our out, and where on the case? I have a free slot at the side and at the top. Sorry about the terrible pictures, they are just here to show the tight space its in [t]http://i.imgur.com/BW6pq.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/7og8I.jpg[/t] If you think I should get more fans, tell me where they should go, what fans they should be (in/out) and if you think watercooling is an option
if it has any top fan areas, please use those for exaust, and for bottom, as intakes. if it supports a bigger fan in the back i would do it. are you asking where to put them or whether to put them in at all? [editline]7th May 2012[/editline] derp, I read the whole post. what gpu are you using? do you find heat is an issue so far?
HD6970 Over 83 degrees maxed out on bf3 until the GPU fan turns into a jet engine, then it goes down to about 74-78. It's mainly a worry because to me I have minimum cooling in a tight space, while maxing a hot gpu. It seems as if the fans have to constanly work to not cool it very much
i would look into closed circuit liquid or an aftermarket cooler, and an assload more fans.
Ok thanks, I think I'll get an exhaust on the top and a swiftech Komodo for water-cooling. What are the chances of a leak?
with a closed circut, i would assume not that much, as people still use them. as long as you don't take the hoses and try to stretch them under the case or something else stupid. and seeing as i am too lazy to google what the komodo is, i meant water cooling for your gpu, not cpu. if your case supports enough radiators, you could find a dwood bracket that might support your gpu, and throw a h60 on your gpu, and a h100 on your cpu. Dwood is a member of OCN and makes brackets to fit antec and corsair closed circut coolers on gpus. or you can look into an open loop liquid system, i.e. build your own instead of an all inclusive unit.
Ah, the komodo is a GPU liquid cooler. And do you know of any case exhausts I should get?
Either build your own watercooling loop or don't do it at all. Most aftermarket air coolers can do the same job most pre-made watercooling loops do. Just pick up some case fans, and maybe a CPU cooler (Hyper 212 Evo) if you plan on overclocking your CPU.
well, there is still a problem that i would assume that the is using the stock cooler on his gpu, which is probably not the best course of action. i would look into the warantee information to see if they let you change the cooler, and go look at arctic for a cooler that works for you.
Ah, the komodo is a GPU liquid cooler. Make sure it's pointed in the right direction so it's blowing air out of the case. If the noise bothers you too much or still doesn't keep it cool, then go look at aftermarket ones. Also OP, if you aren't controlling the GPU fan speed manually, I would do so. Auto lets it get hotter than you really want.

You generally want air blowing from the front to the back of your case. THose temps look fine so im assuming thats all working correctly. And dont get closed circuit water cooling, its shit.
Haha, im not risking buildng custom watercooling if I don't trust myself installing a GPU.
