So, I'm drawing for my first time ever a robot.
It's hard as hell, I usually draw organic stuff, I'm not very used to robots/mechas, so I decided to give it a try and experiment.
This is the stuff I've being working on in this weekend:

Ok, it's finished. I gave up on it because I didn't knew what I was doing.
Enjoy
Done with a Wacom Intuos 3 in Photoshop CS4 with Airbrush Soft Round 50% flow 100% hardness, a lot of Burn Tool, Dodge Tool and some filter rape.
I really like it, although the ground the robot's standing on annoys me a tiny bit since it looks like he's floating.
Floating?

yeah, I still need to do the shadows, but that will be at the end. I'm focusing on the robot for now.
Love the looking of this
Looks beastly! :3 i like it

Well, what I meant to say was that you don't really see anything indicating there's a ground below the robot. Adding a bit of detail on where it's standing would make it look better.
Really cool design.
good show mate.
Holy fuck.
The background kind of ruins it, but the robot by itself.. holy fuck.
It's a WIP, terrain will be probably fixed

Wip means work in progress.
Sweet work, if you haven't posted your other work you totally should.
EDIT
N/M I checked, and you have posted other work. Guess I don't browse as much as I think.
new version uploaded.
I'm still working on the background
awesome
It's done.
I have mixed feelings about it but oh well...
I feel as if the background is missing out on its full potential.

but very well rendered .
Great draw but can you edit your OP and tell us the program you used and one or two methods you used to do this?
He has a badass pose

All right,
OP updated with technical stuff.
Background, everything is nice, but the shadow underneath him is too dark and kinda ruins the overall balance of the robot.
I do like it.
