This, at least, was the conclusion of an Egyptian fisherman who took patriotic exception to a migratory bird near his home in Qena, southern Egypt. Spotting an unlikely metallic device attached to the stork and suspecting it contained a camera – or worse – the fisherman concluded the stork was a spy acting on behalf of foreign powers.
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/07/arrested-spy-stork-killed-eaten-egypt
The stork that was detained by Egyptian police on suspicion of spying has been killed and eaten, days after its release. Police detained the stork after a man saw a tag on it and caught it, suspecting it was a spying device. The stork had been tagged by zoologists to track its migration. According to Nature Conservation Egypt, the White Stork, which they named Menes, was released into a conservation area in southern Egypt but flew to an island in the Nile where it was caught and eaten.
they actually put the stork behind bars :v:
Those dirty commie storks trying to invade Egypt
Paranoia at it's finest
Well it was probably trying to smuggle something in that 'bundle of joy' its always carrying.
This was all over the news a week ago here, 'cause the stork was a Hungarian one. [editline]11th September 2013[/editline] Rest in peace, Ménes
Wasn't there a story from Syria a while ago about a suspicious rock or something that they thought was an Israeli spy?

Israel has placed fake rocks with tracking/surveillance equipment inside of them outside of their own territory.
