http://www.vimeo.com/1546186 I posted a thread about digital vs analogue, and since some people are so ignorant to understand that Vinyl sounds a LOT better than mp3 or cd I want people to watch what this guy has done his entire life... I didn't ever say that music is dead or music is shit these days because its NOT music just isn't appreciated as it was in the 20th Century, we can't even call it the death of vinyl because I can still buy high quality vinyls anytime I want to... maybe its just the death of cherishing music for those still not convinced take a think at why you reckon DJs still use vinyls... its definitely not because they can scratch them EDIT: for Tu154M and BackOnCrack: Its just a thread.. no need to get pissy
No need to start some vinyl crusade. Feel free to argue against someone but why the fuck make a thread. Listen to your vinyls and let everyone listen to whatever shit they please, even if it might sound bad. You're making a fuss about it, jesus.
That's really heart breaking.
This is sad. :c
What the fuck is the point of this thread
An inanimate object can't die, because it wasn't alive in the first place!
and since some people are so ignorant to understand that Vinyl sounds a LOT better than mp3 or cd
Is that how you deal with everybody who has a differing opinion from yours? Besides, most of them had very excellent posts about how digital music has come a long way and is now just as good if not better than analog. And why didn't you just add this to the OP of your other thread and continue your argument there?
Vinyl doesn't sound better than MP3 or CD. [editline]04:03PM[/editline] You just want to sound indie and unique.
You do realize that in the last thread, you compared a digital recording to a digital recording of a vinyl record right? So all you did was compare to digital recordings, one crappy one to one good one. The only thing you're doing is proving your own point wrong.
I think it is really interesting that most of his music isn't available to the public he probably has some really cool shit
continue your argument there?
the argument wasn't supposed to be about the market, it was about the actual music people listen to "some" people were acting as if I was saying "digital is shit" just let that thread die because I was comparing vinyl and digital with digital sound examples >D
just let that thread die because I was comparing vinyl and digital with digital sound examples >D
This thread isn't any better than the other one. You could have at least posted some pictures.
you know, the reason i listen to vinyl is maybe because you know i care a bit more about music than some other people do
This thread isn't any better than the other one. You could have at least posted some pictures.
grrrrr

Oh god it stings...
i see kid penis
If I had the money and more, I'd buy that man's collection in an instant.
Digital formats are as good as vinyls when it's done properly.
Digital>Vinyl Period.
Digital formats are as good as vinyls when it's done properly.
uncompressed digital formats will have to store each and EVERY little detail that a vinyl has .. thats gigabytes of memory just for an album
i see kid penis
I wish i could unsee it
uncompressed digital formats will have to store each and EVERY little detail that a vinyl has .. thats gigabytes of memory just for an album
About a gig for each album... that isn't bad at all. I could store more albums on my computer that way than I could records in my house.
mp3 is convenient and it sounds fine to me
All formats face this, soon enough MP3 will fade away because of a new format.
vinyls make convenient bar fight weapons (smash one and stab someone with a broken shard)
If FLAC would get adopted on more devices, MP3 would die.
Vinyl is dying because we (most of us) don't care about a small improvement in quality, it's not worth the loss of practicality.
kid penis..??
I posted a thread about digital vs analogue, and since some people are so ignorant to understand that Vinyl sounds a LOT better than mp3 or cd I want people to watch what this guy has done his entire life...
"analogue" "some people are so ignorant" (michael jackson, the beatles, stevie wonder, nirvana, ac/dc, bruce springsteen) if this isn't a troll then I don't know what is. If not, welp, as an audiophile I can tell you that vinyl isn't a huge difference from cds in terms of audio quality. The actual resolution increase of data contained in vinyl compared to cd is negligible. It's rarely a matter of whether it sounds better, but more that it just sounds different, due to the processing of data.
