• Got (really) high for my first time today. Weird visual effects...

So when around family, and previous 4/20 occasions, I've gone to these giant smoke in's we have downtown. Got together with some of my ex-highschool friends and went down to 4/20. Usually when I got to these things, we just pass around a few joints for a while, doesn't really do much for me other than give me a relaxation. This time, we just went and bought a bunch of joints, the two girls I was with shared one, I took one for myself, because usually when I smoke it in small quantities it doesn't do much. I went through about 3/4 of my joint, and decided I had enough (it's BC bud, so fairly potent). It didn't do anything for about 15 minutes, but then it just began to blindside me. Usually I just eat pot in baked stuff when I decide to have pot. I'm used to just having a really relaxed feel from it; so that's what I came to expect this time. It was quite different. Rather than the relaxation effect slowly sinking it, it happened so fast that even when the effects were there, I wasn't even aware that I was stoned. I got the mellow feeling for a short time, Soon after, my heart began beating incredibly fast, and my vision started "pounding," and time felt like it was moving very slow. Everybody was moving slowly and talking slowly. It was sort of like I was looking through a square aperture, and the same image that I was seeing kept flying at me over and over. Still no "relaxed" feeling, I was thinking a mile a minute. We started walking around, and this was the weirdest thing. the second I started moving, I'd get this bizarre "third person fisheye" effect. Anything outside my center focus area would go incredibly blurry and look distorted. It felt like I was seeing from behind my head, whenever I turned my head or body, it'd feel like I was viewing from behind me, as if my perspective was fixed to the back of my head, and the viewing point was a few feet behind my head. The best way I can describe it is that it felt like I was walking around looking through the wrong end of some binoculars. As I was walking, I began to feel stuff in my legs. My upper body felt really heavy, but my legs gained a weightless feeling, and began to feel as if huge needles were shooting up and down them in a spiral pattern. Shortly after, I began to get the feeling that my legs were like cones, my feet being tiny as well as very heavy, and my hips being huge. Made it very difficult to walk. After a while, I began to feel like I was not even "in" my body. I began actually seeing my own body ahead of me, and the only way I could walk straight was to imagine the body ahead of me walking in a normal pattern. At this point I was desperate to find a seat because this was really fucking weird. We sat down for a bit, all of us very stoned. I began to get intensely flickering and flashing tunnel vision., with bright light streaks shooting out in a cone pattern. We got up and started moving to the food court. My view began to go panoramic. I couldn't see anything above or below a small degree in my view, but it felt like everything at the side of my view was in great focus. They had gotten hungry, but I was not at all hungry, and the thought of eating actually made me feel sick. We went an stood in line at Taco Time for what felt like hours. I stole one of their tater-tots, and the flavor from it was intense. Though, I still did not feel hungry. We went and sat down. As I was staring blankly off at all the people in the food court (most of which came from the same event) My vision started to get a heavy depth of field effect. Every surface and person in the room started to look like cardboard cutouts, every wall, pillar, table and person sort of stuck out in two dimensional manner. Everything in my main focal area started to look like a 3d movie. Have you ever tried to walk while watching a 3d movie? That's what it felt like. Also, I began to get a sensation that worms were crawling under my skin. It felt like worms were crawling inside my nose and mouth, and on my arms and shoulders. I looked at the time, noticed it was 3:42, after what felt like half an hour, I looked back at my watch, to see that it was only 3:47. My heart was still beating incredibly fast, and my perception of time was becoming really slow, any voices I heard had sort of a reverb to them, and everybody around me seemed to be talking very slowly. After about 15 minutes, the visual effects started to fade. Though when we got up and started walking, they came back worse than ever. I found that looking at the ground made it easier to walk, but if I looked at anything ahead of me, even nearby objects looked like they were really far away. They wanted to go off to a nearby candy store. While I was there, I bought an energy drink try and make myself a bit more aware. It seemed to work fairly well. I was able to walk reasonably well after that, was still getting some pounding effects in my vision. I asked a few friends how they were feeling, and what they described was nothing like what I had. I didn't really feel happy, relaxed or enjoyable. I was thinking about the same as I normally do, but I was getting some very powerful and extremely disorienting psychoactive visual effects, and a big change to my time perception. Not sure if I would say I enjoyed it, but I really wish I had some good, loud, facemetling music to listen too, I was very disappointed with the jazz, folk and hip hop music played at the celebration  Does anybody get effects like this, or am I just weird? TL;DR Smoked a lot of pot for the first time in a while, got a lot of very strong visual effects instead of relaxation.
You're probably going to die. :smith: [editline]08:05PM[/editline] In all seriousness, it affects people differently, so idk
its like watching a movie
damn skippy, that sounds intense. the only shit i've gotten is the depth of field thing.
Been there done that. Used to terrify me to get that high but now it's sort of like an adventure. It's still not as pleasant as I would like though
The only times I've had those kind of effects have mainly been when I'm close to a green-out, but don't quite reach the "blowing chunks" part.
It was laced with angel dust liquid maaannn.
Often when you smoke large quantites the psychedelic and halluciogenic properties of the drug becomes much stronger.
It was probably joints dipped in PCP. I heard about this before
You just smoked too much, OP. That's all it is.
Did you put this on erowid yet? That's where drug experiences belong.
Your weed was laced with THC man. It's a conspiracy
Sounds like you ran into the classic "I AM REALLY FUCKED UP" moment. I love the not "in" your body sensation. That happened to me while driving and I totally questioned my whole existence, and forgot my own name.
you just got crazy high for the first time
I love when this stuff happens to me
:words:
What an odd coincidence. Something similar to this happened to me on 4/20 also. Whenever I would get up and move something, it would produce this extremely cyan picture in a random shape, to what I guess is the movement, and every usual habit I had got reflected in an image that I found oddly similar, but have never seen before in my life. This is the image that appeared when I did my habit of scratching my head when in public and someone's looking at me. I've never seen this picture in my life, I just drew it up in paint real fast. But this image kept appearing to me, and it felt like I've seen this somewhere before, a lot. Weed is so great.
This stuff can happen. You just really high, and you likely had no tolerance. I've got a lot of those effects you've described.
It's possible
When I'm really high in the dark the "static" that te darkness is made of turns into these cool patterns
Weed is a hallucinogen but it's also a bit of a panicogen and it's hard to control yourself when you're really high unless you have a very stable psyche.
Sounds fun, I haven't been that high before myself but I tend to only smoke til I feel good.
Weed is a hallucinogen but it's also a bit of a panicogen and it's hard to control yourself when you're really high unless you have a very stable psyche.
I've learned that no matter how high I am, I can stay completely calm/go completely insane, depending on my environment and my emotions before the high.
A few days ago, my eyes couldn't see darkness anymore, it was replaced by a dark-blue color which was weird and I kept thinking : "I'm blue dabedidabeda!"
That only happened to me once. It was weird as hell.
The OP exactly describes my white out a few weeks ago. It cost me the trust of my parents and put me off drugs for a few weeks. Now I'm just generally not as interested in drugs.. would still like to try some downers and LSD but that's it.
I get visual effects every time I smoke - mild ones, but still definitely visual effects. My peripheral vision often feels like I am looking through water, things rippling and distorting. Illuminated objects seem to float off of what they are mounted on [tv screen looks oddly off of the box it is in]. Vision seems to stutter at times, like I am seeing at 15 frames a second. I get the pounding vision every time I smoke, but that's about it. And the cone legs thing seems really similar to what my best friend experienced once. Almost exactly the same, actually, except that for some reason that made him feel like he was very tall or something.
Yeah its all slow and unreal
