theres beer weed and sex. Im 14 and its a highschool thing and my girlfriend doesnt care if i go or dont and my friends want me to go. Shall I?
yes
Go, but stay faithful to your girlfriend.
Don't fuck things up because you're being dumb.
Where there is beer, and 14 year olds, there is stupidity. There's going to be a bunch of little morons over-drinking and puking all over the place, of course.
If you're not going to drink, get laid, or smoke, you're not gonna have any fun. So if you're against any of it, don't go.
Yes, be smart though. And don't drink just smoke weed
She said she would go fro the expierence if she were in my position, but not do any of the other stuff. Im against alchohal and drugs because of what is has done to close people thats why im asking.
Then, no. What kind of fun is that? What are you even going to do?
If you're against all of that stuff, then you're not going to do anything but make the party less fun for everyone else. You're going to end up as "that guy" who goes to a party and doesn't party.
Stay home and browse facepunch some more.
That makes it sound all so much better browsing facepunch. Well i might as well its just i thought i might ask the people of the internet there opinion on a situation like this. Thanks guys
I would say don't go if it violates any sort of moral or ethical codes you follow. But you may as well go, have some fun (not talking getting shitfaced and passing out in the kitchen fun). Have a few drinks, loosen up, and don't take full advantage of the substances there.

dude 14-year-olds don't know how to do anything like that.
To them, as soon as beer touches your lips, you're an alcoholic. As soon as your lungs absorb a molecule of secondhand smoke, you're a smoker. If you're either of those things, you deserve to be tortured and left to die in a ditch somewhere.
No

And by that same token, they end up killing brain cells by the thousands because the word moderation doesn't exist in a 14 year old's vocabulary.

Yeah.
That's probably why these things are supposed to be illegal for people that young.

The problem is that teenagers as a whole (although this doesn't apply to all of them), have no happy medium, in anything. It's either all or nothing, which is a horrible attitude to take towards drugs, drinking, and sex.
Oh, and kids are stupid. That's a problem too.
Go. You only live life once.

You don't know anything.

Did you read any of this?
Yeah, just go and have a good time with your mates.
Did you read any of this?
Yes. I did. He hasn't been to a party like this before. Go for experience.
What are you going to get out of browsing Facepunch?
I could always do without the experience of being Captain Buzzkill at a party. Which, him being against drugs and alcohol, and in a (hopefully) commited relationship, he would be.
Are you sure you read it?

Seeing a teenager get drunk is like watching a 3-year-old using a knife and fork.
They might manage to get something done, but they just cannot possibly understand how wrong they're doing it.

Although there is something to be said for stupid teenagers being incapable (ability-wise) of driving. They're a lot less likely to hurt someone else. More oft than not, they just take a facedigger up the driveway.
If you're unsure, don't go, you'll end up doing something you'll regret.
However, there's nothing wrong with taking a hit or two of some pot.

I see we have different viewpoints on life. For me, I feel as if I need to experience something in order to fully understand it. The OP here was invited to this party with all the regular teenage shit. He's questioning whether or not he should go, because he has not experienced it yet. If he already went to one of these things before, he would already know if he would like it there or not and therefore not have to make this thread and move on with his life. If he goes now, and say, in a few months he's invited to a similar party, he will already know what it's like through experience and be able to make a good decision. But if he didn't go to this party then he'd have the same questions going through his mind. He'll eventually go to one of these things, might as well get it out of the way now in order to not spend a lot of time wondering how it'll be.
And yes, I read it not only once, but I read it 5 times, just for you.
EDIT:
The exact opposite is true. If you're unsure, just go, because you'll never find out what it's like if you take the risk of making a mistake. And if you regret anything you did, then just don't do it ever again.
Pretty much this.

My point is, that there is no knowledge-imparting "experience" gained from going to a party without partying, except maybe to see all the idiots as a counter-example of how to behave, or all the idiots having fun as an example. Going to a party to take notes isn't worth it. Going to a party to, you know, party, is a worthwhile experience, either way it turns out. For example, my first party resulted in my dumb ass waking up feeling like my eyeballs were going to pop out. Thus, getting wasted like a moron taught me moderation.
Take into consideration he's 14, so I still don't condone partying, even if it's just for the experience.
