What is it with this developer and constantly trying to add shit ideas?
It doesn't even do anything useful from what we know. What a waste of 3 bucks.
• Direct Link to the main game to track your in-game stats and stolen loot
• Official Wiki created in partnership with IGN.com
• Official interactive digital maps created by Prima
• Issues #1 and #2 of the Official THIEF digital comics created by Dark Horse Comics
• Exclusive never before seen art and background content direct from the development team
• Access to official Thief merchandise
So let me get this straight, you get...
• Stat tracking that's probably in the game.
• A link to a wiki that's freely accessible on the internet.
• "Interactive" maps that are either no different from the ingame maps or make the game even easier by revealing secrets.
• Some digital comics which are the only thing with any value.
• Concept art that's probably unlockable in the game or floating around on the internet.
• A fucking link to a store page where you can give them more money.
Shit, this isn't even worth ONE dollar, it's like they're charging you for a pamphlet on the game. Do these guys not get what promotional tools are?
Companion apps, fine but don't charge for it, that's just awful.
I think its time for Eidos to go fuck themselves.

It really is sad how they managed to nail a modern Deus Ex game in the head and yet they completely missed the mark with Thief.
Id much rather spend that $3 on a game in the the steam sales. Thanks Eidos.
I like the way Ubisoft did their companion app for Black Flag. You can send out ships to do trades and when you play the game you are welcomed with all these moneys!

You do realise that stuff like this has come about as a part of Squire Enix's new strategy that was mentioned a few months ago, right?

Thief is made by an entirely different team. The DX:HR team is working on another Deus Ex game.
What a bunch of fucking moneygrubbing bullshit
Eidos are rad as fuck but Squeenix can go fuck a cactus
