Can you really consider the radio stations part of the soundtrack?
Can you really consider the radio stations part of the soundtrack?
Uhhh... yeah? It's music that plays during the game, thus it's a part of the soundtrack.

Yes. You're confusing (or whatever) original soundtrack with soundtracks.
There are a few original soundtracks in the game, tho.
not sure what's the hype for radiostations, other than having your favorite artist on it when u can just listen to it on your own.
the score is more exciting

A large part of me enjoying GTA Vice City was simply driving around listening to the music it offered.

It's more the hilarious banter that you may sometimes be blessed with if you tuen into the right one
I feel like the soundtrack is no longer news, due to the pre-load file leak.
sounds like we won't be getting an ipod or anything when walking around

It'll be modded in, when it comes to PC.

that wasn't the full listing.

I loved Electroshok or whatever it was called in GTA4. Radio X and Radio Los Santos in San Andreas (with a bit of SF UR or whatever the club music with the german guy radio station was), and GTA3's RISE.FM, Jah Radio, MSX and GAME.FM
I'd say radio stations are a VERY important thing in GTA.
i never said they're not important. i just don't get the hype for music you already listen to
I was blind, now I can see
you made a believer, out of me
can't wait to cruise around listening to the radios
i never said they're not important. i just don't get the hype for music you already listen to
idk but to me, hearing music i've always liked on TV, a movie or a game always had that extra effect to it
Maybe it'll be the glorious return of the box sets, too, IV didn't get one (the soundtrack for it was pretty boring imo)

The vice city one even included the DJ snippets. No Chatterbox or VCPR, though.
My only problem with GTA V's stations is that it doesn't have any metal.

ive learned of a lot of great songs due to the radio stations
i want more.

THIS
I'd love some good metal on it.
Oh please have the main theme of gta 1.
Oh wait this game is the first with a score.

So? The theme from GTA 1 can still be in it.
It was in GTA III aswell, they COULD put it in GTA V on one of the radio stations.

It wasn't any theme, it was just a song that had the words "grand theft auto" in them, which is an actual law term.

oh no time to expand your horizons
oh no time to expand your horizons
Oh yeah! I forgot that liking a particular genre of music makes you instantly dislike the others.
I hope when it comes to PC, Fuck it. I hope all versions have Independence FM. That shit was great.
I wanna know about Talk Radio stations.
GTA: SA had some of the best one. I'd love it if WCTR came back.
I hope Rockstar keeps up their streak of amazing classic rock stations. K-DST and Liberty Rock Radio were the only radio stations I ever listened to in the GTA series, aside from the MP3 players.
Hopefully they bring back old radio stations like k dst, Would be amazing playing GTA V and listening to the old soundtrack.

I haven't looked at the leak but this is disappointing. L.C.H.C had Entombed, Celtic Frost, Sepultura, Bathory, Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, At The Gates. But PC version will probably have me sorted, and I always choose to have the adverts in the playlist to emulate the other radios.
It wasn't any theme, it was just a song that had the words "grand theft auto" in them, which is an actual law term.
Even tough it wasn't composed for the game, it was the actual "theme" of GTA 1.

Same goes with "Sequence Three" by GP & GF Reverberi being the theme of GTA London.
Point is: kimr120 said it can't return to the radio stations because GTA V will get an original score but in-fact it COULD return because the composed score for GTA V will have no impact on the radio stations.
