Well I'm wanting install snow leopard on my PC but I have an AMD athlon X2 Processor and I'm not sure if snow leopard needs an Intel or what. Here are my full specs: AMD ATHLON X2 64BIT PROCESSOR 2GB OF DDR2 RAM ASUS MOTHERBOARD NVIDIA 8500GT GPU My Question is Will it run or do I need An Intel
If I'm not mistaken, voodoo's modified OSX kernel works fine with AMD/SSE2-only processors. You will have issues with updates and such, seeing as you aren't using a GPT disk or a vanilla kernel. If you have more questions, I would recommend you head over to http://www.insanelymac.com/ You will certainly need to spend some time getting drivers in order. If you don't want to patch your own OSX disk, I would recommend using the very stable iPC 10.5.6 and the voodoo kernel, then installing 10.6 to another partition using the OSInstall.mpkg trick.
Good luck with that .. Tell me if it worked maybe i wanna do it too :) //I heard its not possible to use ATI cards with OSX .. is that true ?

My Leopard runs 4850 just fine, didn't test Snow Leo, I need to grab a retail ver but I'm sure it will work, take a look @ InsanelyMac, people report it working with a little of modifications of the extensions. I can help anybody who wants to install Leopard, just not Snow Leopard, just PM me.
I have a HD 5750 @ a athlon x2 4200+ lol mhm
I have a HD 5750 @ a athlon x2 4200+ lol mhm
Yeah but keep in mind I didn't say that ALL ATI cards are supported in OS X. You will have to wait for the new iMacs for the drivers...
